There's not so many things that Eames actually enjoys these days, which is probably a sad fact, but don't feel pity for him. Because he has the most excellent dog in the world. Do you have the best dog in the world? No. Because he is Eames' dog and he is called Boxer and he's two years old and a beautiful healthy rottweiler who is smart and handsome and very well behaved.
Generally after he's done with whatever morning/early afternoon business he has, it's followed by a trip to the nearest park if he's brought Boxer with him.
There's nothing fancy or special here, just feel free to find him walking his dog or playing catch. Boxer's a little wary around other dogs, but he doesn't shy away when other dogs come over like he did when Eames first got him, which is nice to see. It's always good to know you've raised your child well.
B//A COFFEE SHOP OPPOSITE THE MAGICAL INNOVATION CENTRE
Honestly? At this stage there's not much to be gleaned from watching the place, but that doesn't mean Eames won't.
He's not here every day, because honestly why go to Richmond if you don't have to, but every now and then he stops for a few hours to watch the comings and goings. Partially a catalogue of faces, partially to see if there's anything odd going on that might spill into public view. Especially after they failed to hold on to some of their prizes from the last few months.
A glamour makes him hard to see in return — not hidden, not exactly, but it almost... Diverts attention. Makes him forgettable and uninteresting. Probably what makes him feel confident hanging about in such a particularly dangerous area for a fae.

Today, Evie was trying to get a look at the people who were coming and going, seeing if there was anyone of note. Her travels took her to a coffee shop right outside of the Centre, where she spotted something odd out of the corner of her eye. Squinting and focusing, and she recognizes him, is able to keep her eyes on him long enough to know.
She takes a seat at the table next to his, sitting so that they were near one another. Evie pretends to drink her coffee. "Have you been in side?" She asks him, keeping her voice low.

He leans back in his seat, sighing softly over the rim of his mug, "how about you?"

"I went to the opening," she explains. "I wanted to see for myself what she's trying to do there." There's disdain in her words. "It's awful, even the parts they let the public see."

She glances around again, before speaking: "Something must be done."

But slowly this time. From the bottom up. As frustrating as it could be.

"And in the meantime?" He tilts his head, thoughtful. "I figure out how to dismantle every rotten little thing she's managed to get her hands on."

She was here because it was a whole lot easier to go to a dog park than a wolf sanctuary in frakking London, and she wanted to do some research. The more she knew about dogs and how they acted, perhaps the more she could stay in control during her monthly transformations. So here she was. Watching dogs.
There's a handsome man a few feet away, taking good care of who she's sure is the best dog in the world in the man's eyes. "What a sweet boy you have," she says. "What's his name?"

They both look up at Laura at the same time as she approaches, Boxer's tail swiping low the way it always does when he's curious, but Eames smiles up at her. She's right, he's a sweet boy.
"Boxer," he answers, instinctively petting his head when Boxer looks up at his name, "and you are?"

"Hello, Boxer," she says sweetly to the dog. "I'm Laura."
She glance back up at Eames. "May I pet him?"

Boxer's a little wary, looking up at Eames first before he steps forward to sniff at Laura's hand, relaxed by Eames' presence and hand on his side; he's not met many werewolves and the smell of her has definitely made him curious, now with permission to get closer he starts scenting at her hand and then drops his head to her feet as if to confirm it's definitely her, and after another look up at Eames he surmises that this is a new friend and presses his face into the palm of her hand.

"Hello, Boxer," she says, just like she's talking to anyone. "You're such a good boy, aren't you?"

Eames laughs, patting Boxer's flank, "seems like he likes you."
He likes almost everyone. Boxer's an excellent animal.

"Good thing, as I like him too." She sniffs the air, and glances over at Eames. She can smell the magic on him. "I think he can recognize me for what I am."
no subject
"Clearly he seems to be getting over it though."
no subject
"Goodness, if he isn't the sweetest pup. How old is he?" Never mind the weird old lady at the dog park, making friends with the dogs. This sort of thing should be considered completely socially acceptable.

"And I'm Laura." She holds out her hand. She's just broken up with Adar, sure, but, well. May as well start playing the field, right?
