"Excellent, I'll be there every night for a shower!"

It would be nice not to meet in public and have to worry about who might be overhearing what. Though the coffee here was probably a bit better than would be at someone's home, unless they had a very fancy machine.

Oh. Girl. They have a fancy machine.

They also have a shit ton of alcohol, because Cooper is Irish and it takes a lot to get him drunk, and Nancy has a drinking problem. Russian, Irish, Mexican coffee, they're all on tap if you just say the word.

"You can use the guest bedroom's, yeah?"

Once Caroline realizes all of this, she might just move in.

"Sounds good to me. Oh, but you may be stuck with me for a bit, if I'm there when the sun's out."

Nancy waves the worry away. "the way I work, I'm practically nocturnal myself." She can get up for lunch. Don't ask her anywhere for brunch.

"Cooper only just got his ring a few months ago, anyway."

"I knew you were my type of people."

Caroline takes a long drink of her coffee - she's getting close to the bottom of the cup now. It's been quite the conversation. She had been worried that telling it all would just make her depressed but she actually felt lighter than before. Though she is definitely disappointed when it comes to what she's learned about Kyle. Then again, she's likely never going to see him again, so what does it matter?

Nancy tosses a lock of her hair behind her shoulder and laughs. "Cheers to that." She holds her cup up.

Caroline does the same, knocking the cups together. "I'm almost out. Do you have time for another?"

Nancy glances at the clock on the wall. "Oh, yeah- that's absolutely nothing, to be honest. It's still early enough for the both of us. Here." She reaches into her purse, pulls out a tenner. "If you want to grab them?"

Caroline hadn't been sure if Nancy had to go work eventually but doesn't want to mention it. They are having such a nice night and it's still a bit of an awkward subject for her.

"Sure," she says, taking the bill, "what are you having?'

Nancy knows it's awkward- she gets awkward talking to people about it, sometimes. She tries to deal with things a matter-of-factly, but it doesn't always work out. Especially when the people you're talking to know your boyfriend.

Your boyfriend who hates what it is you do.

"Vanilla latte, if you don't mind."

Hence Caroline's plan to just avoid the subject whenever possible!

"Coming right up." Caroline heads over to the cashier and orders two vanilla lattes, since she hasn't tried that one yet.

Perfect- until she shows up at your doorstep because she doesn't want Cooper to get worried about something or other that's happened. Here's to hoping it doesn't come to that.

When Caroline returns, Nancy eagerly accepts her cup back. "Thanks, love. What'd you get?"

If it comes to that, awkwardness would probably be the least of Caroline's worries.

She grins as she takes her seat. "Same as you, it sounded good."

"Well, hope you enjoy it. Though, usually it's better with a little something extra..." She flashes the top of her flask at Caroline. Today, it's filled with vodka.

"If you want any." She will be taking some now, though. She's had one coffee without alcohol. Time for one with.

Caroline passes her cup over without hesitation. "Yes, please."

Nancy wastes no time and tops her off liberally.

"Most of my drinks are spiked," she confesses like it's not a big deal.

Caroline frowns at that for a moment, but then again, who is she to judge? She's been out drinking more nights than not recently, after all. "Sound likes a good plan to me."

You need it, when your job is having sex with people for money and trusting them to only drink a little bit of your blood.

Often, she wonders if her clients can taste the alcohol in her blood.

"Perfect. The flask is enchanted, so just let me know when you want more."

Alcohol probably makes blood taste that much better. Heck, Caroline is still pretty sure that somehow hot guys do taste better, even if she'd been a little out of her mind when she said that.

"An enchanted flask. How did you get one of those?"

She's been told pretty girls taste better, so hey, it all works out!

"A friend of mine enchanted it. She's brilliant. I could get you one, if you wanted."

Bonnie should really have learned more magic like this. Forget all that talking to ghosts and causing vampire blood vessels to pop ... magic flasks were clearly where it was at.

"I would love one. How does it work?"

"I'm not sure exactly, but you get it and a new bottle. Pour in the alcohol, and somehow it connects the bottle with the flask. I didn't ask specifics of it."

Magic was so cool.

"That's just brilliant!"

Caroline realizes that she hasn't actually tried her drink yet and so quickly remedies that. "Oh my god, this is delicious."

Nancy laughs. "Isn't it, though?"

[vampire_barbie_girl]

"I think I may need to move into the coffee shop and just drink this for the rest of my life. Oh, and have showers at your place. That sounds like a good life."

It certainly sounded a lot less complicated than her real one.
