Caroline passes her cup over without hesitation. "Yes, please."

Nancy wastes no time and tops her off liberally.

"Most of my drinks are spiked," she confesses like it's not a big deal.

Caroline frowns at that for a moment, but then again, who is she to judge? She's been out drinking more nights than not recently, after all. "Sound likes a good plan to me."

You need it, when your job is having sex with people for money and trusting them to only drink a little bit of your blood.

Often, she wonders if her clients can taste the alcohol in her blood.

"Perfect. The flask is enchanted, so just let me know when you want more."

Alcohol probably makes blood taste that much better. Heck, Caroline is still pretty sure that somehow hot guys do taste better, even if she'd been a little out of her mind when she said that.

"An enchanted flask. How did you get one of those?"

She's been told pretty girls taste better, so hey, it all works out!

"A friend of mine enchanted it. She's brilliant. I could get you one, if you wanted."

Bonnie should really have learned more magic like this. Forget all that talking to ghosts and causing vampire blood vessels to pop ... magic flasks were clearly where it was at.

"I would love one. How does it work?"

[stauncherhearted]

"I'm not sure exactly, but you get it and a new bottle. Pour in the alcohol, and somehow it connects the bottle with the flask. I didn't ask specifics of it."

Magic was so cool.

"That's just brilliant!"

Caroline realizes that she hasn't actually tried her drink yet and so quickly remedies that. "Oh my god, this is delicious."

Nancy laughs. "Isn't it, though?"

[vampire_barbie_girl]

"I think I may need to move into the coffee shop and just drink this for the rest of my life. Oh, and have showers at your place. That sounds like a good life."

It certainly sounded a lot less complicated than her real one.

Nancy throws her head back and laughs.

"sounds like you've got it all figured out."

Caroline joins in the laughter. "I wish. If only life could be so simple."

"it's a pity." she gives Caroline a soft smile. "but at least we're in good company."

"I'll drink to that any day," Caroline says, lifting her cup and taking another long drink. It makes her feel all warm inside.
