[Closed to Cesare] A long-due report

There had been a great many things happen in the past few months. A great many things which needed to be addressed. Cesare might perchance find a note slid under his door at the Angelo in the mid afternoon, and it is clear who it is from upon opening it and seeing misshapen and shaky letters.

wE NEED To tALk. BAR. 11;00 P.M.

Micheletto was not normally one to leave things for too long, particularly when Cesare was a much younger and more impatient man, but... he'd dreamed of Cesare, too. That revelation still had not really sunk in. It made sense, logically, but Micheletto still was wary, almost frightened, of his own feelings on the matter, let alone how they would affect Cesare's opinion of him. But there were two other matters of import, both involving two people Cesare, if not held dear, at least wanted to know about in some capacity. He was still weighing his options, still balancing the risks of mentioning it, when Cesare entered the room. Micheletto had been in the quietest corner of the hotel's bar since 10:00 that night, two glasses of wine poured on the table, yet both untouched. He looked more agitated than usual, worriedly fidgeting with the one in front of him as he thought.

Micheletto bolted upright upon seeing Cesare enter, standing from his seat to dutifully pull out Cesare's chair for him. It was merely common courtesy, after all, especially for a former/current manservant.

"I apologize for the brief notice, sir. I am sure you are very busy elsewhere. But I have news to report."

Cesare actually arrived on time. Nowadays that was not an action that happened often. But Micheletto was his friend and he respected him too much to turn up late. He nevertheless thought the meeting a little odd, though. A little too formal when compared to their usual tastes. Micheletto pulling out Cesare's chair only emphasized that.

Cesare quirked an eyebrow but sat down, immediately taking the wine on the table in front of him, trusting it.

"You seem agitated, Micheletto. Is everything alright?" he asked, a little amused.

To be honest, Cesare had been distracted that evening. He had been very much focused on Samantha and what she was up to, trying to see precisely how she was playing this game of London politics. He had spent most of his time in other carriages.

"I remember the train, but I'm afraid that's about it," he replies honestly. "I had other matters on my mind. Why?"

Cesare gives a bit of an eye roll at that. Every whore wants to go on the straight and narrow at some point. Whether they manage it or not is another matter. Cesare doubts Nancy has the true will nor the ability to do it. She likes money and spare time too much to be serving out burgers in some fastfood chain. The perks of being a whore are too great.

"And you think she'll manage it?" he asks, doubtful.
