Investigating Bromley: An Open Log

 As is typical for Sirius, he's found himself in a situation he never really thought he'd find himself in. And probably should have given more thought to. 

But the promise of money had been there, and he had been running low. And it was just a recon mission so he didn't need to involve himself any further than that, or so he told himself. All of these justifications continued to run in his mind as he entered the territory. 

He went in his dog form. It was easier that way. People didn't notice dogs and all he had to do was act as a loveable stray if anyone did. As long as he didn't do anything too out of the ordinary, he should be fine and this would be done quickly. 

Any further misgivings would had to be dealt with later.

Sirius has made his way around the bar, sniffing at whatever he could, stopping to listen to conversations and mooch off of other plates. At the very least, he seems to be having a good time, since there's a good number of people who seem happy to scratch his ears.

The Dodger, meanwhile, is trying to find the damn dog because while there's plenty who'll be friendly, there's plenty who won't

Sirius isn't exactly hiding, and he is a rather large dog, so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard. Though right now he's begging at a table with two women at it.

The Dodger breathes a sigh of relief. He knows those ladies, some of the ones who report to Fagin. Harmless, really, just looking for a quiet life. Wouldn't notice anything different about anything.

"There you are, you great mutt," he mutters to Sirius, scratching behind his ear as he comes up to him

Sirius just looks pleased with all the attention he's getting. He offers a small "woof" in response.

There's a slight eye-roll from the Dodger. "Come on," he said, "been here too long, gotta get back to grafting."

Sirius does his best to do the disappointed dog look, but he'll still follow dutifully. Although now he's torn between continuing to follow or going off exploring on his own again.

He waits until they're a little away from Cripples before turning to Sirius. "Don't expect you to follow me all night. Reckon you got stuff to be gettin' on with. Just... watch who you stick that nose around."

Again Sirius seems to nod, before wagging his tail and heading off in the opposite direction.
