1. KUNSTKAMMER (closed : for lan)
He'd originally planned on waiting until after the moon had passed before bothering with Lan's vial, but it's been sitting in the hiding place he'd found for it, silently taunting him. February is a plenty busy month so he should have more than enough to keep his mind occupied, yet he still finds himself distracted, his thoughts often drawn back towards the possibilities that Lan's project holds. The curiosity is slowly killing him.

A couple days after the Imbolc festival, he finally breaks. He's got himself a quiet evening and a golden opportunity to find out what happens when he drinks that weird shit, and so he does just that.

He makes it a few more days before slinking in to Lan's shop again, looking pretty ragged when he drags himself through the door. As far as he knows, it's not because of what she'd given him. It's the day before the full moon, is all- he probably shouldn't even be here when he's like this, but the feeling of restlessness has become unbearable. If he's going to suffer all day, he might as well suffer and accomplish something.

Ghoul slowly shuffles his way around shelves, sounding almost as rough as he looks when he quietly asks, "Lan...?"

2. I DARE YOU TO PET HIM (wolf shenanigans/OPEN)
There's a full moon out, and that can only mean one thing: wolves.

Strangely enough, there's one running about alone in one of the larger parks rather than East End's usual territory. Maybe it's a rogue. Maybe it escaped from wherever it locked itself up. Whatever the case, it doesn't seem to be up to too much trouble at the moment. Sprinting through trees, digging holes, chewing on things. The usual kinds of energetic canine business. But, wolves can be pretty unpredictable. Who knows how it'll react when faced with company.

Ghoul's kind of groggy, sure, but he's not nearly as bad as Party. He sees where this is going pretty quickly. "No! Bad dog." He snatches his arm back before those teeth can chomp down on him, and he even brings up his other one up to whap at Party for good measure. Just in case he doesn't want to let go or something. "What is this? You a zombie now? Fuck off with that."

"Zombies eat brains. Wouldn't bother with your ass." He kicks half-heartedly at Ghoul's shin and then retreats back into the apartment. Leaving the door open instead of slamming it in Ghoul's face is all the invitation that the guy's going to get from Party.

His apartment is an open loft space with a bed in one corner and art supplies and paintings taking over a majority of the rest of the space. There's clutter and paint cans everywhere and at least a few canvases that are in various states of completion.

"If you're gonna be here, do somethin' useful and make coffee."

Party almost kicks his phone under his bed as he searches for some pants, shimmying into a dirty pair of skinny jeans and not bothering to look for a shirt as he crams the almost-forgotten phone in his pocket.

What a shit. Ghoul makes a bunch of mocking faces behind Party's back as he follows him inside, swinging the door shut once he's clear of it. The first thing he does after taking a look around is wrinkle his nose, randomly commenting, "It smells like a warehouse in here." Maybe that has something to do with the seventy thousand fucking paint cans stacked everywhere.

Ghoul weaves his way through the mess, making his way over to a window and yanking it open like he owns the place. The space needs aired out, fuck whatever Party thinks. If he gets cold, he can put a shirt on. There's bound to be one somewhere around here.

From there, he travels to what he assumes was once a functional kitchen-area, because coffee sounds pretty good, actually. Step one is finding it... "Do you even have coffee in this landfill?"

"There's a french press and a kettle... somewhere." He glares at the open window, but leaves it as he follows Ghoul to help him dig out the things he needs to make coffee, which he basically winds up doing himself, because it's easier than waiting for Ghoul to find everything.

"This some kinda emergency or you tryin' to make enemies?"

Party's a good helper. Look at him go. Ghoul ends up hopping on to the counter and sitting at the edge of it like a no-manners-having heathen, contentedly watching as Party does all of the work all by himself. "It's a wellness check. I see you're still sort of alive, so. The fuck've you been up to?"

"Workin' on some paintings. Up all night paintin' and sleepin' all day, or that was the plan before you showed up." He pours coffee into two mismatched mugs and pulls milk out of his mini fridge.

"Usually no one notices if I disappear for a couple of weeks." He smirks at Ghoul, because he's noticing Ghoul noticing, and hands him a mug of hot coffee.

He hasn't realized Party's caught on to him, funnily enough. "You stay holed up in here for weeks?" Ghoul's face screws up in distaste and he's suddenly eyeing the milk over there like he suspects it may be expired. Whatever. As long as no lumpy milk goes in his mug, it's fine.

He takes the offering from Party, cuddling the mug to his chest while he waits for it to turn a little less scalding. It's warm, okay. He likes warm.

"Sometimes." Party nurses his own mug, like he needs more warmth but hasn't yet put together that a shirt might help. "Just get caught up in stuff and it's not like anyone's gonna miss me long as it's not too long. Gotta follow inspiration while it's here.

Party's picked a hell of a month to do his quirky loner artist thing. Ghoul sighs loudly as he looks around, squinting at their surroundings as he begins piecing together a plan. After a moment, he points to a door. "That your bathroom?"

"Yeah. Might be a mess." It's not really an apology, but it's not really intended to be one, either. The whole apartment is a mess, really, so he can't be expected to have a neat bathroom.

He shivers and seems to finally realize that he's not wearing a shirt, so he puts down his coffee and goes to dig a dirty sweatshirt out of a pile.

"It's okay, I ain't the one that's gonna use it." What.

It's all part of The Plan. He hops off the counter after setting his coffee aside, following Party across the apartment because he gets the feeling he may need to herd him where he wants him to go. If Party's usual state of griminess is anything to judge by, he probably doesn't voluntarily do the showering thing too often. "Don't even bother putting that on, you're gonna shower. We're goin' somewhere."

Party just sighs and drops the shirt. "We're goin' somewhere so fancy I gotta shower for it?"

Hello, he's a wolf. He doesn't need that many showers! It's fine. He's perfectly presentable and it's fine that people can smell him coming.

"This ain't a fancy date, right? 'Cause you're gonna be real disappointed..."

Ghoul gives a rude little snort of laughter. "Kinda get the impression that if somebody's on a date with you, they've already given up all hope." Rude.

"But yeah, you gotta shower. I'd put money on your last one being back before you started your..." Projects? Art extravaganza? Ghoul turns and gestures towards the mess of painting supplies all over the apartment. "Thing. And I gotta draw the fucking line somewhere." The regular human beings can now smell you from across a room line seems as good as any.

"Excuse you, jackass. I am doin' just fine." Party drops his phone on his bed and shimmies out of the skinny jeans that he'd put on for company. He leaves them on the floor with the abandoned sweatshirt and his underwear hanging a bit lower than it had when he answered the door. What's decency among wolves, anyway?

He heads to the bathroom, leaving the door open as he turns on the shower and then coming back to the door with the water running in the background.

"Oh and if someone's on a date with me, they probably just appreciate good oral." He blows a kiss and closes the bathroom door to shower.

He's seen and heard a lot of shit in his day, although sometimes even he can be caught unaware. This happens to be one of those times. He'd begun trekking his way back over to his coffee once he felt sure Party was going to actually shower on his own (the stripping wasn't indication enough, honestly), but the sassy parting comment hits him like a rock and he whirls back around to look at Party, appearing somewhat stunned by his lack of shame.

Well, damn. Good for him, mastering his craft.

Still. Ghoul shakes his head at the now closed bathroom door, fetching his mug and picking out a relatively clean-ish portion of floor to sit on near some canvases, checking them out while he waits.

Party takes a pretty fast shower, more due to disinterest in the activity than because he knows Ghoul is waiting for him. Ghoul's the one who barged in on him, so he can wait. He does get his hair, though, and he's at the passable-for-polite-society level of clean by the time he emerges with dripping hair and a raggedy towel wrapped around his waist.

"Where're we goin'? Do I gotta dress nice?" Nice in this situation is just clothing without holes in it.

Ghoul's got a mouthful of coffee when Party emerges, so he shakes his head. Still on the floor, he scoots himself around to face him and says, "Save the nice stuff for the date you owe me." Hyuk hyuk. He laughs at his own dumb joke, because of course he does, and then he's staring at Party skeptically. That was an awfully quick shower, now that he thinks about it...

"Did you even use soap? Lemme smell you." He holds his arm out, palm open, clearly expecting an arm or something. What a slave driver, right?

Laughing in an only slightly menacing manner, Party walks closer and gets down on his knees, which doesn't work out well for the stability of the towel around his waist, but being a werewolf has made him pretty apathetic about his own nudity.

He shoves the top of his head towards Ghoul to smell his totally clean hair, but then he shakes it instead, getting drops of water all over the place. "I smell excellent, fucker."

He leans in just in time to get a bunch of water flung in his face, after which he jerks back with a surprised grunt. Ghoul plonks a hand down right on the top of Party's head, shoving him backwards to get him away. That towel will be the real MVP if it can hang on against both of their shenanigans. "Get your clothes on, we got a lotta shit to go over."

Party giggles as he's pushed back and his hand catches the towel just as it's about to fall off entirely. "Oh, he's all bossy now."

He pushes himself up to stand and digs out a pair of worn but intact jeans from a pile, dropping the towel to shimmy into them commando, because fuck underwear. There's a Sex Pistols shirt nearby and he grabs that and his ratty leather jacket and then starts to search for his boots, which are definitely under a pile somewhere.

"What're we goin' over? Tryin' to take over the world?"

It's not weird to watch him get dressed, is it? Nah, it's not weird at all. They're having a conversation. Of course he's going to look at him. It's only polite.

Doesn't mean he's going to help Party any, though. He thinks he can see something that may be some sort of shoe under a pile of fabric over there, but he says nothing about it. "Somethin' like that." Might not be too far off. "How much you been' payin' attention to anything outside this apartment lately?"

"Maybe like fifteen percent." There's no sense in lying to Ghoul about that.

He finds one boot under a pile of bags and lifts it up. "Ha!" Of course the other one is nowhere near it, so he gets this one on and then has to hobble around all unbalanced looking for the other one, which is totally under his dirty T-shirt pile. Take that, laundry!

"I figured." Ghoul watches with a grin as Party finds the first boot, and laughs as he watches him hobble around in search of the other one. This is pitiful. "How the fuck are you an adult?" Not that he has much room to talk, especially with the way he sets his mug down on the floor, stands, and just leaves it there.

Party isn't allowed to judge him or his choices. Fuck him. Think of it as Ghoul leaving a little token of himself among the mess. "Okay, let's go. Already called a cab, it'll be here pretty soon if it ain't down there already."

"Where're we goin', Mister Mystery?" He shoves a few things in his pockets, including his phone and wallet, and grabs a pair of sunglasses. "Huh? Huh?"

He doesn't pay the mug any mind as he follows after Ghoul, because Ghoul did kind of nail it when he asked how Party's an adult. The answer is obviously that it's a technicality.

Ghoul merrily makes his way downstairs and outside, answering each repetitive question regarding where they're going with I dunno or nope.

It's not even any place exciting, honestly. He just enjoys stringing Party along. It's sort of like telling a dog to sit and then watching it wiggle impatiently while it waits for a treat. It's entertaining, okay.

The mystery is solved soon enough. Turns out to be some breakfast diner-type place that Ghoul can vouch for. He hadn't bothered asking Party's opinion on it, because the guy strikes him as the type to eat literally anything. He herds Party inside, to a table as isolated as possible, and gets them all settled with drink and food orders taken. And then he starts to fidget- swinging his leg beneath the table, lightly kicking some part of Party's chair in idle movement. "Figured you might pay attention better if you were bein' fed."

That, and he'd bet on coffee being the main thing he's consumed in days.
