Caroline grins. "It's an easy to get mixed up." At least for someone who isn't from Mystic Falls. And isn't a teenager.

"Don't worry, it's a mistake I won't make twice." She signals for Caroline to put down her weapon.

"I think that's enough for today. What did you think? If I'm rubbish, say so. It's been some time since I've trained anyone else." That had mostly been Jacob's cup of tea. He'd always been so great at training the others.

"No, this has been great. I know I have a long way to go but I can actually see myself getting there now." Time is a vampire's most abundant resource, after all.

"Is there anything I can do at home to practice? I'm pretty much stuck in my apartment during the day."

Evie considers this. "Work on your core strength," she says, pointing at her stomach. "I also find yoga and tai chi helpful." Yeah. She did. She also meditated regularly.

"Additionally, it wouldn't hurt to practice holding the weight of a sword. Start small, with something like a beer bottle. Just hold it in your arm, hold your arm out at shoulder height. See how long you can go."

A pause. "And you can't forget cardio." They had nothing but time on their hands now, she saw no harm in giving Caroline lots of extra credit options.

Caroline smiles. "Sounds like I'm going to be pretty busy for the next while." But busy was good. Busy kept her from thinking about things she didn't want to focus on, plus it would keep her from dying of boredom as days became longer.

Evie laughs. "These are suggestions, not homework." But it really did help to hone your vampire strength.

"Though it's a good thing you've got nothing but time now." Vampires didn't really need to sleep. Or much of anything so long as they ate.

"No, let's call it homework. I was a straight A student and always finished my homework on time. Sometimes, I finished it early." The joys of being an overachiever. Or an insecure, neurotic control freak on crack - though the insecure part was pretty much over now.

"Alright. Then it's your homework."

She takes the sword from Caroline.

"You've got enough time to get home? This place is sun-tight, if you need to stay."

Caroline reaches into her bag to find her cell and check the time. "There's enough time, thanks though." She's looking forward to a long, hot shower - hopefully the water pressure is good today.

Evie nods. "Good. Take your water with you." She gestures at their own sort of sport drink.

"And have a good rest of your night- you did very well today, Caroline."
