Islington Nest Christmas Party, Dec 17 [Open to all Nest members and their guests]

Caroline has worked hard to put together the evening's event, which is not only a Christmas party but also hopefully a chance for the Nest to celebrate its new leadership. The room at the Angelo has been decorated with a winter wonderland theme which, while not exactly original, is quite lovely.

A string quartet is playing a selection of Christmas and other classical music. Any attempts to feed on the musicians will result in the perpetrator getting thrown out the party, or worse. But feeding on any of the hired help or performers should be unnecessary, since several varieties of "blood punch" are available to drink. There is also food and other drinks available for non-vampire guests and anyone else who wishes to partake.

There is a strict black tie only dress code and Caroline will tell anyone who is under-dressed to go home and change.



[The event is happening on Dec 17th but I wanted to get it up early so everyone had time to do get involved if they so desired.]

[He shakes his head slightly, before giving a small nod to the treat tables on the other side of the room.] I'll get some more if I need it. I have the distinct impression we are wanting for nothing at this party. [Except, perhaps, for some responsible adults. But that is neither here nor there.] Eat as much as you like.

[... why does he feel the need to take care of her? Probably because Cesare would be mad if he didn't. Surely that must be it.]

[She didn't need to be told twice, as the young witch enjoyed what was going to be the rest of his cake. His delicious, delicious cake. Nancy speaks as she shovels it into her mouth, with no care for decorum. Her upbringing is fully clear when she's drunk.] No- Caroline's bloody brilliant. She did the whole thing.

[Nancy glances around the room briefly, still smiling.] Thank you! My boyfriend bought me the jewelry for my birthday. [Bringing out her green eyes and ginger hair.] And the shoes're from Cesare. [She says it as a point of pride: look at her, wearing shoes that Cesare Borgia bought her. She's so swanky, here and drunk and name dropping.]

[Micheletto is rather used to such disregard for decorum - even working with the refined and wealthy for so long. He doesn’t seem fazed by her table manners at all.] Miss Caroline did an excellent job with the decorations. [He motions to the icicles above them, glancing up the elegant tree-turned-table they’re currently sitting under.]

And mister Borgia was kind enough to lend her the space, I see. This must have been a difficult undertaking.

[Though he knows already Nancy’s affiliations, he does give her jewelry and her shoes a second glance, as if appraising them.] Impressive. They must care about you a great deal, to shower you with such fine gifts. They clearly spared no expense.

[He's so formal, it's got Nancy giggling. Then again, most things had her giggling right now. She was in a giggly mood.]

They do! Cooper loves me, [She says this like it's the most important thing in the world.] Bill never got me jewelry. Nope. But he never had much money. Leave it t' the devil to take it all. [She shakes her head, and works on more of the cake.]

[Well obviously, it is the most important thing in the world, to a lady. Micheletto's seen young love often enough to notice it.]

He must, if he's bought you such nice things. Your friend Bill, he was a gambler, then? [At least, that's his first guess. That or alcohol.]

No. [She takes a bite of cake, and then proceeds to talk to him through a mouthful of it:] 'sa thief. The best.

[He had been the best, he really had.]

Cooper's the best not-thief, though.

I suppose that is a gamble, in another way. [But it makes sense. And it is something he hadn't known about Nancy previously.]

Your... boyfriend? Cooper. Tell me more about him. He is a vampire, yes?

[her favorite topic! Cooper! Nancy grins enthusiastically and leans towards Mick.] Yes-! He's amazing and I love him. we live together, I moved in officially in November but started staying with him September after everything went to shit.

He's Irish, and has the best accent. Sometimes I can't understand him because it's old! [She giggles.]

we met because he almost ran me over. [she doesn't care though. He didn't, and she had made a friend turned boyfriend. Only after he drank a lot of her blood.]
