Islington Nest Christmas Party, Dec 17 [Open to all Nest members and their guests]

Caroline has worked hard to put together the evening's event, which is not only a Christmas party but also hopefully a chance for the Nest to celebrate its new leadership. The room at the Angelo has been decorated with a winter wonderland theme which, while not exactly original, is quite lovely.

A string quartet is playing a selection of Christmas and other classical music. Any attempts to feed on the musicians will result in the perpetrator getting thrown out the party, or worse. But feeding on any of the hired help or performers should be unnecessary, since several varieties of "blood punch" are available to drink. There is also food and other drinks available for non-vampire guests and anyone else who wishes to partake.

There is a strict black tie only dress code and Caroline will tell anyone who is under-dressed to go home and change.



[The event is happening on Dec 17th but I wanted to get it up early so everyone had time to do get involved if they so desired.]

Jean-Claude smiles slightly, though he bows his head at her slightly in recognition of her commentary.

"Perhaps not," he concedes. "I do hope you will forgive me. While you are the not the sort of woman who notices these things, I am the sort of man who pays a little too much attention to them."

Evie chuckles. "Perhaps that's why we make quite the pair." She liked the easy rapport they'd gained in the past few months. While she had originally been unsure about him, it had soon become clear he was the man to help her undo what she had done.

"Needless to say, you are forgive."

He smiles in response to her words. "Perhaps that is why exactly," he replies.

He spreads his hands wide, gesturing to the room around them. "So. How are you finding yourself at this gathering thus far? It is quite the event. I am glad for once someone else is throwing the party, though. It is nice to simply be in attendance for a change."

"Caroline certainly outdid herself," Evie has to agree, surveying the room cooly over the top of her glass. She always tried to keep an eye on the crowd, always know where she could exit if she needed to.

"I'm enjoying myself. It's good to relax, as much as I can at something like this." Evie Frye was pretty sure she'd never been relaxed in her life.

Jean-Claude tilts his head at her slightly, finding her last thought of intrigue to him. He has known Evie for some time now, but the truth of the matter is outside of her fighting abilities, he has learned very little else about her.

"Are you not one for parties, then, mon amie?" he asks, a curious smile on his face as he does.

"Hardly," Evie has to admit. "But there seems to be one every month around here. I usually stay no longer than his absolutely necessary." If she had the choice, most nights (relatively speaking) would consist of a book and a glass of wine in cozy pajamas. Jacob always made fun of her for it.

"But if I'm having a good time, I'm more than willing to stay longer."
