Small Town Celebrities party log for Sept17-Oct6
The Redbright students clearly aren't getting enough homework if they have the time to start following their favorite members of supernatural society around for the chance at getting The Perfect Shot of them looking hot. It starts slow and small, for the first week, anyway. Just a random person pulling out their phone and taking a quick shot. Can't even be sure it was you they were photographing. By the five days in, though, they've started making a game of it. Groups of two and three going out together. Following people for a while. Having the audacity to wave when they're looked at. Some even invite their target to take a picture with them and their friends. (If you say yes to that, please do flex a little.)
Ratings on the website change on a day to day basis and currently both Redbright Professors and the Hillingdon Clan lists are the current most popular due to the territory change over and general familiarity with the groups.
Hans Estergaard had been reigning supreme as #1 in Hillingdon since he had the audacity to challenge Sylvia for her seat on the council. An unprecedented length of time! (It's like the students enjoy the idea of someone standing up to Sylvia, the person ultimately in charge of telling them what to do. Go figure.)
Most factions are getting more attention from these folks, though. They really have a lot of time on their hands.
[[ooc: post around like it's a party log. If you want an npc bothering you and want me to play them, put NPC request in the subject line.]]

He didn't ask if Sirius wanted to talk about it, nor did he say he had time. He just stood there staring. Waiting. If Sirius spilled, he spilled. If he told him to fuck off, he told him to fuck off. Daryl could deal with both. But he was damn curious now and so far curiosity had yet to kill this cat.

Just, how to explain.
"Well, to make a long story short, I might be on the run from the police and have been for quite a while."

Daryl's brows shot up, but he continued to stay quiet for a moment, processing that. He was kind of curious about the details now, sure, but he didn't need to know them. And it would be prying further to ask for them. As far as he could tell Sirius was a good guy, so maybe it was just something as stupid as parking fines not being paid. Well, no. One wasn't really 'on the run' over that unless it was in the tens of thousands range. But maybe Sirius had felt the need to rob a place and got caught. He hoped it was that and not something like domestic abuse, or worse.
"You hurt someone?" he finally asked, voice quiet, just to be sure he hadn't been reading the guy wrong all this time. If he needed to beat Sirius' ass, he would.

There's always a chance his poster might have been displayed there, before he's had a chance to take it down. Though he's usually pretty fast about hiding it.
no subject
What did the police think he did that would get him a poster?
no subject
Namely, he didn't want to get hunted. But it's nice to know that his efforts are having the desired effect. There's a pause as Sirius considers his options again, finally deciding that there was no point in dragging this out.
"The long and short of it is that they think I committed a murder, which I didn't, I was framed. About a year ago I escaped from prison with the intention of finding the person who framed me and proving my innocence. So it's probably one of those."

Daryl's posture hadn't changed with the reveal, nor did his expression of mild interest and curiosity. He didn't know if it was right to believe Sirius on the matter, but he did. He was fully aware the man was willing to fight, and kill, if he needed to, but he didn't seem like the sort to go and outright murder someone and then deny it. He seemed the sort to own up to his actions.
"You found anything yet?"
no subject
And it frustrates him to no end. Of course, there has been the odd distraction that's come up. Keeping himself out of jail, assisting with the Hillingdon clan, avoiding vampires, that sort of thing. It is hard to pick up leads on such a cold case, but he is still determined.

"Could look into it."

"Nah," he shook his head, brows shooting up a bit as he took the time to take the name in. "I can keep an ear open. Was he involved directly, or just had information?"

If he even decides to leave it at all for the time being. At the very least, he can always shift into a dog at some point. He's usually unnoticed then, or at least not questioned for why he's skulking around alleys.
"Don't suppose you're caught up in all this, are you?"
no subject
He was currently hovering at #7 on the list and didn't care to get more involved than they'd already made him.
