A Little Bit of Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust [Closed]

There's been a small surge in supernatural related news in the media lately. It's only because Daryl's investigating Maria on Simon's behalf that he's even paying attention to said news. But a small story in the one of the local tabloids about a missing little girl that 'flew away' from home caught his attention. It wasn't that he normally gave such things any credence, but after reading it and the very heart-felt plea for the girl's return as quoted from the parents, Daryl thought it sounded just a little too real to be ignored. Maria could wait a few days.

"A month!" Annie gasped, and looked over at her cat-friend. Daryl was much larger than a standard cat, in bobcat form, but she could understand why the fae would be slightly confused. "Oh, no, that's not good- time moves differently for humans, and I'm afraid Lady Kayla's friends and family miss her terribly." They had to get her back.

"Is there any way you can summon her back?"

Annie's jaw dropped. "What if- what if I got you a new needle?" That had to work. "Maybe then we could get her back sooner?"

"Oh-oh!" Annie gasps, and reaches for Daryl. "I was going to get you a better one- shinier- I'm sorry- please let me stay?" She looks her most innocent and adorable as she can.

The ground seemed to fly up to meet Annie as she was pushed out of the house, landing squarely on her butt. Looking over at the house, she closed her eyes and exhaled sharply. Shit- she was so bad at this. So so so bad. Why did anyone ever let her be a hunter, if this was how she did her field work? Sloppy, can't even reason with a fae...

She looked over at Daryl. "I'm so so sorry."

Regardless of whom the bobcat was, the snarl was enough to get Annie to be quiet, though she still wanted to mutter another I'm sorry</> again. Pulling at the ends of her hair, she leaned over the books, picking up one Daryl wasn't looking for.

"A month, she said- all for a needle." She should just call Finnick.

Oh, please don't destroy Annie's books. That would be really, really bad.

Honestly, the idea didn't occur to her. What did occur to her, as she started looking up feathered fae, was that there had to be a way to get back on the fae's good side. To turn Daryl back.

"Excuse me?" Annie knocked on the door. "Can- uhm- I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. I was just, uhm- I'm really really sorry." Please turn her friend back.

She can feel Daryl's eyes on her, and she stops, coming over towards him. "What's that?" Annie bent over to see where Daryl was perched.

"You're right- we need to get you back." Without Daryl, Annie had actually no way of driving that motorcycle back to Hillingdon. She was going to have to take a bobcat on public transportation, because she had no idea how to drive.

Reaching up, she pulled at the ends of her hair. They needed to track this girl, but they needed Daryl to be his human self again. She'd messed this up so so so bad.
