[open] We all need a bit of sunshine every now and then
Spring is in the air, and this little witch could not be more excited about it. Granted she is pretty excited about all seasons, but it's hard not to feel a little extra happy when the days start getting longer and you can feel the world waking up from it's long winter sleep. And happiness of course means SHENANIGANS so pick your adventure or make up your own.
1. Collecting ingredients
Yes. Yes this is indeed a private garden and Siobhan absolutely should not be in it. She especially should not be in it digging through the flower beds.
But, there she is, on her knees and spade in hand.
Here's the thing, she just spotted some pretty rare herbs that she hasn't been able to find anywhere, and while she knows that she might be stealing another witche's supply at the moment that witch has enough money to live in a swanky house with a private garden, so Siobhan figures whoever they are they can probably afford new plants. Besides, she's making sure not to take all of them.
Yeah, there's a lot of Robin Hood thinking going on here, but for what it's worth she does intend to use the plants for good purposes.
2. Hugs and Coffee
On a blanket outside of a coffee shop sits a skinny little redhead, carving on a piece of wood (because openly displaying that you have a knife is a great idea) with a little sign sitting in front of her:
"Buy me a coffe & I will give u a hug"
No one has taken her up on it yet but you never know, some random stranger might come buy and really need that hug badly enough to buy a weirdo some coffee.
3. Dark streets
It's the middle of the night, this is an unfriendly part of town and Siobhan probably shouldn't be walking here, but she has absolutely no sense of self-preservation so she's just sort of rolling with it because she has to get home and walking is her only option because as usual she doesn't really have much money.
Besides, what could go wrong?
4. Choose your own adventure
Any and all scenarios welcome!

Lily is standing beside him, tail swishing excitedly. She recognises Siobhan! Yes, she does! Siobhan is a friend! He's out of uniform at the moment, instead dressed in jeans and t-shirt in the warmer spring weather -- jacket hanging open to reveal the slogan on his t-shirt which declares him Dog's Best Friend.
"This do?"
no subject
She gets to her feet and accepts the cup with a big smile. This man sure does know her well, and he gets a hug for it as promised.
"But you know you get your hugs for free."
no subject
His arms come around her easily in turn, giving her a reassuring squeeze before releasing her to take a step back. Lily fusses around their feet impatiently, hoping to get some attention too, and he drops a hand to her harness to gently stop her being too pushy and making Siobhan spill her drink.
"I didn't know you could carve too!"
no subject
"Dunno if I'd say I'm any good at it but it helps pass the time."
She bends to give Lily some attention, even if it's a little more subdued than her usual greeting since she has to be mindful of her coffee.
no subject
Which is easy, Lancelot has never carved a single thing in his life. He lets go of Lily so she can sit and invade Siobhan's space, smiling easily.
"What are you carving, then? Still charms and jewellery, or something else?"
no subject
Working in wood would certainly be a lot easier than trying to get by with the scraps of silver the kind jeweler she's made friends with lets her use.
"You having a day off?"
Since he's looking so nicely casual and all.
no subject
"Of sorts. Claiming time back since I did a little over time before. There was a little bit of a... disagreement, shall we say, that needed clearing up."
You know, fae raids, kidnapping, the usual sort of 'disagreement' that Guardians end up tidying up. Lily, now that everyone is at her level, begins to wag her tail with even more excitement and fusses between the two of them. She can't decide who to bother first! Everyone! Everyone should be playing and petting her! Yes!

Anyone stupid enough to trespass onto Geap Manor property was asking for the Hell that could be the house's way. But especially going through Abigail's family's garden. It was her mother's garden and her grandfather's garden and so on before. Back to the darkest days of the Widdowson legacy.
She wears the white she tries to keep on when her home is open to others. Her home. Not cutting rights in her garden.
She'd have been willing to offer cuttings and some of the leaves and stalks, but to find someone simply helping themselves. It's infuriating.
no subject
"There is, but I don't think you'd like it."
She lifts the one plant she'd managed to dig up already out of her bag, showing that it's nicely wrapped with its roots intact.
"How about I put this back and then you can see about punishing me and all that?"
no subject
After all, this was her garden. Her property.
Being Maiden of Witches? Didn't mean everything she owned was open to the public.

Having just excused himself onto a back alleyway from the innards of a shop where he'd traded something slightly-illegal for something possibly-immoral (the best types of trades, when you ran in the circles he was fondest of, and hoped to tamper with the magic he was most interested in), he let his step fall quiet when the lamplight caught the figure of that young lady.
Only one of two explanations, really. Someone who knew how to handle themselves, or someone who didn't realise she'd need to.
Putting on a pair of gloves, he'd change his direction to walk after her-- not stalking, exactly, per say. He certainly wasn't covert enough for that. But it felt like the gentlemanly thing to do, to make sure she found her way back onto the main street in one piece, with her purse still attached.
no subject
That didn't worry her too much either since she couldn't pick up any malicious intent, but she figured she might as well let her invisible escort know that she was aware of their presence.
"If you're going to keep following me you might as well come walk with me instead and have a chat."
It would be a lot more fun to walk home if she had someone to talk to.
no subject
"Excuse me if I alarmed." Given, indeed walking at a faster clip now to reach her side, keeping a respectful breadth all the same. "This isn't the most friendly area to find yourself lost. I would feel better about it if I saw that you were able to find a tube or bus stop, escorted. Very antiquated- or misogynistic?- I know."
no subject
She smiled brightly up at him, as if he was an old friend rather than someone she only just met.
"And I don't have any bus money."
So of he wanted to escort her anywhere it would be home, which might take a while.
no subject
"You're very trusting. I could be a robber." Pointed out, before shaking his head. "No matter-- I have bus money. Which direction are you going? We can decide the best route from there."
no subject
She named a part of the city that was a lot nicer than she looked like she could afford staying in, and that was a substabtial distance away at that.
She didn't even pretend to turn down his offer of help, she learned a long time ago that the only thing she would get out of that particular brand of pride was hunger pangs.
no subject
"...At that distance, a cab might be more sensible." Pointed out. "Unless you were craving such a long walk?"
no subject
"Sensible, but expensive."
no subject
"If you trust that I'm not a psychopath, my car is parked a few streets over. Otherwise, I'll pick up the fee for the cab." It wasn't a particularly warm night out, either, and London had a penchant for becoming suddenly wet. There was no use in training for a long-distance marathon in the cold and the night, if it could be helped.

Sure, some people sent the most unpleasantly confusing emotional signals sometimes, but most of the time it was relatively easy to tell if someone intended to do something harmful.
2
The sign is cute, though. A faint smile colors her expression.
"You're missing an 'e,'" she says, nodding at it. "There's supposed to be two."
no subject
"Oh! Ah well, my spelling's always been shite so I was sort of assuming I'd missed something."
She's never managed to get good at reading and writing, always too distracted by the emotional input flooding her way from other people.
no subject
Effy glances at the coffee shop, somewhat curious. "Any takers yet?"
2
Elizabeth stops and stares at the sign for a good few seconds before she starts to look horrified. She's needed a coffee before, but even in the tightest of months she hasn't had to ask strangers to buy one for her. Maybe it wasn't just coffee, either. It could be sandwiches or pastries or anything else.
"My dorm kitchen is terrible, but it's at least serviceable-- I can make you something!"
no subject
Which is to say that yes, she's sort of trying to keep herself fed on hugs. It's been a bad month for the cash flow and she doesn't want to live on the kindness of her coven too much.
no subject
"Come on, pack up, I have some spaghetti and frozen meatballs, I just need sauce," she says, gesturing at Siobhan to pick up her things. No more hug-fueled-eating, not on Elizabeth's watch.
no subject
Said as while she folds up her blanket and packs her piece of wood and her knife away. The misspelled sign goes into the nearest trash bin.

After a moment of just lying still on top of the garbage, Alex uses her knife to gouge out the two bullets lodged in her ribs - she really doesn't want to heal around them and have to cut them out later - and starts crawling out of the dumpster. She lands ungracefully on the pavement and curls a protective arm around herself as she climbs to her feet.
When she notices the redheaded girl nearby, she snarls, "What're you looking at?" regardless of whether or not the girl is actually looking at her. She's not angry, per se, just exhausted and in pain and not above spreading it around a little.
no subject
Said very matter of factly because honestly what else would she be looking at?
"You're hurt, d'you want any help with that?"
All that snarly anger is already giving Siobhan a headache, but she's used to that and would never let it get in the way of helping someone in need.
no subject
Alex forces herself to stand up straight, and grunts as her injured ribs shift and some fresh blood oozes from the already-closing wounds. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to have someone make sure her ribs are healing properly.
"Why, are you like a..." The girl looks too young to be a doctor, but you never know. "...doctor, or something?"
