The fae may have taken Croydon from Daybreak, but Daybreak is out to prove it is still strong -- and one Daybreak witch in particular is hoping to prove that he is the man to turn them around from the loss. Gilbert Norrell plans to bring order to the lawless territory of Lambeth, via less than pleasant means. He intends to drive out any troublemakers, anyone who disagrees with Daybreak, or have them persuaded by members of Hillingdon. Unfortunately for him, it won't be quite as easy as all that...

It runs through the entire week, starting off quietly and subtly until the disappearances begin to be noticed and the fight back intensifies. [He chuckles, soft but... Cold too. He doesn't like people to see this side of him, but this is far too raw and fresh to reel it in just yet.]

Well, not just him.

[Norrell's small potatoes, but he certainly has the potential to be a much bigger problem later on. Something needs to be done.]

[Arthur doesn't respond immediately, rolling this around in his head with a frown. If Eames could see him right now - the bowed head and the hand on his hip - he would see that he's taking this very seriously. It's something they've talked about, in hushed tones and hypotheticals, but now Eames is angry and his home in this world is going to be taken away from him as soon as they find out what he is.]

Did you have a plan, or were you hoping I'd just agree to chip in?

[He sighs.] I need your help with this, Arthur.

[Yet another pause as Arthur looks up at his ceiling, thinking about how that's the first time Eames has ever said that outright. He's needed Arthur's help before, but he's only ever hinted at it until Arthur offered. It feels strange. His tone has a lot less bite when he finally responds.]

Okay.

[He did have something he could have done tonight, but now...]

Come to my place; I'm not stepping foot in Lambeth right now. I have to run to Hillingdon House but I'll be back in half an hour and you can only let yourself in if you have a case of beer with you.

[And he hangs up. Thank fuck Arthur doesn't live in Daybreak or Council territory, he can at least shortcut through the other realm on his way there. He shows up about an hour later with a case of beer and lets himself in, still positively fuming.]
