time for a check up (open post)
You may then know, more or less, the incident of her granddaughter getting kidnapped by the vampires. It distressed her but she's fine. Honest to goodness she's fine.
It's normal for her to worry for people she cares for. It's pretty normal for her to think of all the worst case scenarios some of them could find themselves in due to their personalities/their histories/their everything.
It's very normal for her to suddenly check on them one day out of the blue, just appearing next to them without a warning or a heads up.
"Are you okay?"
She's totally calmed down about the incident last month. Really.
DON'T KNOW CLARA?
What do you mean by that?
Now you do as she suddenly phases through the wall and looks directly at you during her search for everyone she knows.
It doesn't matter where you are or what you're doing. It doesn't matter if there are people there or you're supposed to be by yourself. Suddenly you have a woman staring at you in confusion for a second before it registers in her head that no. You're not someone she knows through passing.
"Um. Oops."

A ghost isn't in much danger, usually. Still, he considers ghosts to be people who need his protection. Need his help. Not people he can ask for help. Usually they've suffered enough that he doesn't want to inflict anything further. But Clara...
Clara is certainly different than most people he's met before. So, he manages a bit of a smile.
"Can I get you to deliver a message to the Barnet nest? The vampires?"

Given her recent history with the vampires, she's a bit reluctant to get close to anyone she doesn't know, which happens to only be Cooper, but she did promise to help him. To turn this down seems too hypocritical of her to do so she smiles, wide and bright, and nods while pushing aside her discomfort so she can help him.
"... Of course. Of course! It wouldn't be a bother at all." Just spook over to the nest, give the message, and disappear if they appear unhappy with the news just in case. Sounds simple. "What would the message be, Dr. Morgan?"

Because, well... He didn't know if there was recourse among the Night Council for what that man had done. He was human. He wasn't affiliated with any faction from what Henry had been able to find. But if he happened to wander into disputed territory where several vampires were waiting for him... Well. Sometimes justice had to come through less than official channels.

A little strange overall but... "Okay. I'll make sure to give it to them soon as possible!
"Is there anything I need to know before I send them that? Any reactions or any tells of their person?" Or if she needs to be careful there at all? Just in case. "It sounds like you got yourself into quite an adventure, Dr. Morgan."

And that she'd helped him check out the shipments for. At first, it hadn't seemed like anything connected. Then, though, things had begun to mix together, to be knotted up in a way that he hadn't seen since New York. And he'd loved it.
Even finding the bodies. There had been that rush.

"O-Oh! The clinic," she breathes in, her voice a hushed whisper as it all comes together in her head. She looks around to make sure no one is in the office with them.
Of course no one else is in the office with them but she needs to be sure. This is huge. "So this means... The vampires are involved in the clinic's affairs. That's why you want me to send that message. To let them know what's happening."
Were they in this on purpose? Or were they like the patients themselves: Involved unknowingly. Somehow.

He sighed a bit, shaking his head.
"He won't be delivering his miracle cure any longer."
no subject
Why should she?
Long as the patients are safe from whatever is going on in the clinic and long as no one is exposed by the man's actions, she really can't complain about it. Right? Right. "Before I forget: I want to thank you again, Dr. Morgan. If you haven't stepped in who knows what might have happened a week or even a month from now if he kept this up."
no subject
"Things..." He shakes his head. It's hard to predict how things might have gone, but he knows this much. "Things would have gotten far worse if someone hadn't paid attention when you did."

Clara tries to keep her anxiety in control, feeling it flare up and the lights outside the office could be heard from where they were. She's happy that everything is going to be okay but now that one thought sticks to her head now: The student. Will they be fine now? What happened to them?

"Would it be alright if I checked in on him and his parent now and then, Dr. Morgan?" Much as she wants to visit, she doesn't want to be presumptuous and just go there without clearing it first."I hope I can. I guess since I'm sending the message it's all over and visiting them won't affect anything anymore."
Right?
no subject
A pause. Because, ah, yes. There is something else to be said. Something he's only recently decided.
"You're also more than welcome to come to that clinic and check up on things. I won't always have hours myself, but I'd love to know it was running smoothly in my absence."
He's not smug about having everything set up to take over the practice once the good doctor is out of the way.
no subject
Oh! Right. Where that doctor, for the lack of a better word to describe the conman, worked his scams until now. The clinic would still be running even after what's happened. Would it be only for a little while or indefinitely? It's hard to say and she doesn't want to make a fuss.
She would like to check in on the clinic and see how the others who work there or go there are. At the end of the day, they were all innocents in this. "I would be happy to, Dr. Morgan. Everyone needs a little bit help these days so I'll do my best."
no subject
Should. But there was no promise that everything would work perfectly. Still, she wanted to help, and it might be useful to have someone checking in while he wasn't there.
It wouldn't hurt, definitely, and shouldn't interfere with anything else she was doing.
no subject
It's hard for her to believe they're innocents in this but her snooping there, quick and fleeting as it may have been, seems to point to it. "I'm so sorry if I seem so full of questions today, Dr. Morgan! It's just been a doozy of a few months is all. never hurts to be careful?"
Knowledge is power as the saying goes. Or that's what Tonyo told her in the past.
no subject
"You're right to be careful. Things haven't been... the safest... lately. And, well. Who knows what's coming."
no subject
"I'll keep an eye on them in the clinic. Now, in fact! I feel like I'm keeping you from your packing with all my chattering." At the rate she's going, she might have him stuck here by the evening! That won't do for him at all. "I'll let you know what I find soon as possible if there's anything to find. I promise."
