B is for Burgers, that's good enough for me (OTA)
Burger King wasn't exactly fae food and wine, but it was human and that was all Kenzi wanted right now. The grease and sugar had it's own charms, and goddamn fries were so good who could argue with that? She'd texted Derek to come get Kenzi and it turned into Kenzi, Nancy, Stiles and Abigail all piling into the Camero and driving to the nearest fast food joint.
Which just happened to be this piece of shit. Kenzi didn't know anyone who liked Burger King for real, but it didn't matter right now. Especially since she had been good and hadn't eaten any of that delicious looking food.
Kenzi had pulled back her hair as tightly as she could to get the kinks and curl to stop showing and tried to make a bun but her bangs were too short by far to get tied in with the rest and they just hung down around her forehead like gross Annie curls.
After everyone ordered, Kenzi sat down in a line of empty booths to wait for everyone else to join her.

Late night witchery afoot - Abby, Nancy, Kenzi
Abigail spoke very quietly. The three of them were still sitting around a table. even though everyone else had gone. She'd even gotten them ice cream and more to drink so they weren't just loitering. They looked like girls discussing things that were ultimately trivial but they considered important. It didn't look strange, she thought, all of them staying. She kept her voice low, just in case anyone was listening or might chance to hear something.
"Redbright has claimed Barnet. She will keep doing it. And as long as we're all separate... all divided..."
She'd talked about it with Kenzi before, briefly, but now it was time to say it. To put the words into the air, to connect them with her face and her voice. Kenzi trusted this girl, and Abby... She trusted Kenzi enough on this. Enough to consider it. To try. To offer them.
"But if there was a safe place for them to run to. If... If they have a coven..."

She's curious as to what Nancy will say to all this. She hasn't agreed to anything other than listening yet, and Nancy's answer will affect her own.

Sitting next to Kenzi and across the way from Abby, it takes her a moment to fully process what it is Abby is saying. Even then, she's not sure. "So you're saying..." She looks to Kenzi for confirmation.
It wasn't a bad idea. Not at all. Circle Daybreak had one, but Midnight was scattered. Comparably, they were weak, despite their beliefs about dark magic. Nancy herself had grown up around it, so had always considered it just part of the way things worked. That, and Midnight gave her more freedom than Daybreak would have any day of the week. She thinks, however, of Pel, how she'd come to her crying and terrified. How witches like her needed a safe place. How, if things ever went sour with Fagin, she'd need a haven as well.
"You're saying."

It's dangerous, and Abby lowers her voice as she says it. Because it's dangerous. They all know it's dangerous.
"I-- I have a space in Enfield." A second house, actually, but she didn't need to say that. "Where we could meet. A place with no known evil history. Where we could purify the space, just in case. Where we could cast our circles. Where we could meet in safety."
She's put more thought into it than she should, she knows, but it's been done. So, the words come tumbling out.
"It's not in my name. It's not in a name anyone could trace back to me. It could be a safe place. For us and for the others. We can hide or stand as we choose."

Kenzi voices Nancy's thoughts, but that couldn't surprise either of them at this point - they were friends because they had a similar way of living and thinking. Still, even if this wasn't a bad idea it was still incredibly risky.
"We're not going to be able to do much, you know. Not at first."
Kenzi sounds as if she's already on board. Abigail's approach was apparently exactly what she needed. Somehow she didn't think patience wasn't a strong suit of Abigail's. After all, she'd put up with Kenzi hadn't she?

It was a good idea. There was no reason they shouldn't have a safe space. With Redbright moving in, they did need a place to safely practice their craft. And if things went south for people like her or Kenzi with their less-than-legal practices?
"And you want me in on this."
She took a dramatic pause for a drink of her shake.
"Alright."

"I especially wanted to see if Kenzi knew a third. Three's a better number to start a coven than two, and..." Another smile. "We seemed to get along okay earlier today."

"Have I ever told you how much I love you?" She smiles and squeezes Nancy's left hand momentarily. She's so glad that wasn't as hard of a sale as she thought it would be.
"What can I say?" She shrugs, making to toss her hair over her shoulder before realizing her hair is pulled up and out of her face. God she wished she had her straightening charm. "Getting kidnapped tends to make me feel a sense of comradery with my fellow nappies."

It wasn't 100% the best idea. But it was something that was needed, she was learning more and more, as she spoke with more fae and witches. And, if she ever turned away from Fagin completely, or any of the boys' found themselves in trouble, they'd want a safe place.
Or even Kenzi. Likely Kenzi.
It was more for them than it was for her.
"We did, yeah." This time she spoke to Abigail. "And I don't envy your kidnappings." She hadn't been kidnapped when she was entered in the contest.

"It'll be dangerous." She can't lie about that. Besides, they both know it. "But if it's made public... If there's someone tied to it... It won't be so easy to get rid of it and sweep it all under the rug."
Even if she had to die for this cause... she could stand to be a martyr. Or so she was telling herself again and again. Maybe she'd convince herself eventually.

"Helps that you're like, super rich."
People don't care about missing girls that are poor. But rich girls going missing causes a field day no matter where you are. Abigail's the perfect fall girl for this plan because of that in Kenzi's eyes.

"Isn't everything we do dangerous?" She had to ask without irony. "I don't want you to get hurt though, if it comes down to it." She looked from Abby back to Kenzi. "Either of you."

"But someone has to take a stand."

"This is so crazy."
She sounds much less sure of herself now. Her voice shakes and so does her smile.

Should it have been move overwhelming? Because this was... underwhelming, truth be told.
Nancy laughs, still clutching Kenzi's hand. "So let's go to burger king, and start a coven, maybe?" She had to add, though the words sound so strange.

"Definitely crazy. But at least we're not alone?"
They were doing this together. Which made it even more crazy. But also, somehow, reassured her a little.
Kenzi
Like her favorite female movie character, she'll think about that tomorrow.

Maybe after she finished stuffing her face she could think about actually speaking. Right now, it was a bit too difficult.
