June Catch All for Dodger

[The Artful Dodger can be found anywhere about London during the course of a full month. Anywhere there's a crowd, there's work to be done, and if you know the hat, you'll be able to spot him easily. Or if you want to be spotted... well, he's always paying attention]

Huh. Well, that sounded interesting. And the thing was, the risk for Roddy...well, it would be pretty high, to be honest, since if he was caught as a rat he could be killed, but if he got away he'd be able to get off easy, because who reported the activities of a rat to the police?

"What kind of jobs are we talking?"

"Usual type of thing... tryin' to get into places what don't necessarily want you in." The Dodger did his best to seem calm about it all.

"Yeah. I figured that." It was pretty much a rephrasing of what he said before. However, Roddy wanted to have some idea of how much in over his head he might be getting before he decided if he was going to sign on. "I'm just wondering what kind of places."

"Anyplace." Honestly, the Dodger never knew himself until Fagin told him the job and when it had to be done by. "Usually private homes, nothin' too fancy. Just enough to get some dosh by."

"So you're going around, robbing innocent people, then?" Roddy asked, smiling a bit to show he wasn't completely serious. "I'll think about it. And even if I were to say yes, I might not agree to just anything. It would be kind of fun to piss of rich, pretentious assholes, though."

And that would be what he'd be deciding based on. How much he'd like to piss off the potential victim.

"Not exactly innocent," there was another shrug. "Don't rob from the poor. They ain't got nothin' worth takin'. But the rich... those what have got some green lyin' around? They're fair play, far as I see it." Don't ask how that was, his view of the world had been highly disorted.

"Might have work soon. I'll find ya."
