#1 I ACCIDENTALLY A WHOLE BRIBE (FOR COOPER / early june)
Ghoul is not usually the type to take an interest in playing legislative games, but after this recent shitshow of an election, he's decided to shake things up. The entire Council is apparently corrupt or crazy or selfish or unpredictable in one way or another- and you know what? That's fine. If the Council members are so quick to take bribes, then he'll find a motherfucker to take a bribe.

That's where Cooper comes in. Not because Ghoul thinks he's the most corrupt, but because he's the only one he's ever met at all. Cooper seems pretty okay for a vampire, and Ghoul figures it's easier to start on familiar ground.

Which is how Cooper ends up with a determined looking Ghoul starting off their meeting with, "I wanna get a law changed."



#2 THE SLOWEST SUFFERING (FOR LILLIAN / early june)
The talk with Cooper had gone all right, but this wasn't where he expected the conversation to lead him. He'd assumed the bribery thing would be a one-and-done deal, but no. Now he has to write up some sort of bullshit formal proposal, and it feels like every word he manages to jot down sucks a little bit of the life force out of him.

It's awful. There are even books (fucking books!) spread out on the table in front of him, because he thought a quiet, cozy picnic area in a park would be a nice place to think.

It's not helping much, actually. After a while, he abandons the small notebook he'd been scribbling in and directs all of his attention to his phone screen. The shit he's scrolling through has nothing to do with his project, but hey. It's fine. He deserves a break.



#3 FULL MOON: DURING/AFTER (OPEN TO EAST END PACK / june 9th/10th)
And all too quickly, that time of the month has come around again. This time, he's prepared. He remains in the den for the duration, spending the night in the basement with some of the others. Keeping an eye on things with the newer members, being a nuisance towards older ones- the usual, really.

Once morning rolls around, he drags himself upstairs to recover. Face-down on a squishy sofa in one of the common areas is where he stays for most of the day, sore and half asleep.



#4 HILLINGDON HOUSE CALL (OPEN TO HILLINGDON & HILLINGDON ALLIES - feel free to reply as though he's made it inside the building and is wandering around, as well! / mid june)
Ghoul has a ghost to check in with.

He ends up finding Hillingdon House without much trouble. The place isn't as big as he'd imagined it to be (that's what he gets for looking at it from the front), and it seems pretty normal. Still, he ends up stuck outside of it, staring with a pensive look on his face. What the hell does he do with it? Knock on the door like some kind of jackass? Just waltz on in there? Where a bunch of hunters are?

"Ghoul?"

Lillian was passing by with a fellow fae of hers when she spotted a familiar face. Seeing him surrounded by books surprised her- Not because she thought he was dumb or anything, good no, but because- Well. It looked like he would rather be anywhere but there judging by how he was focusing on everything but the materials on the table he claimed.

Sharing an exchange of looks, Lillian managed to shoo away her friend so she could approach Ghoul by herself. She clears her throat, letting him know of her presence, before she continues on. "Hello there. Are you trying to study for something? I didn't know you were still in school."

She tries to look over and see what the subject of the books were about. If he was studying it must be very important to him.

Ghoul blinks and lifts his head, appearing a little confused until he realizes he's been blessed with a distraction in the form of Lillian. Thank god. He sets his phone down, snorting out a laugh at her question. No one could possibly pay him enough to go back to school. Saying such things doesn't give off the best impression of him (as if anyone with eyes starts off with one), but it's true. Books, essays, gibberish formulas, worksheets, tests... Those are all things he isn't exactly excellent at. Typical case of not being engaged by traditional education methods.

"No, uh, nothin' like that." He pulls his arms back so she can get a better look at some of the books opened up around him. It mostly seems to be law-related stuff. And very, very boring. And hard to follow sometimes. "Somebody on the Council is gonna challenge a law for me, I just gotta like... write up an official thing for him. Thought maybe there'd be some examples or somethin' in one'a these but all I found was a headache."

Ghoul rolls his wrist while he's still holding it up, vaguely answering with, "Oh, y'know." Stuff. Very busy businessy stuff.

"I got an appointment with somebody." He drops his arm back to his side, figuring that's explanation enough. "Are you everybody's cranky secretary or some shit?"

See, now Dodger knows how Ghoul feels when yappy dogs stalk him all over the city.

It's kind of funny when Ghoul's not on the receiving end, though, so he grins. "You made a new friend? Cute. What'd y'name him?"

Ugh, children. Arthur doesn't need this in his life right now but he's already in and he really wants to know what this punk kid is doing in the house.

"Don't worry," he says, just flirting with the edge of a smug tone, "I'm way more important than that."

Which means you shouldn't piss him off. "Tell me why you're here."

Ghoul's busy snickering at the heaping pile of bullshit Roddy thought up when he suddenly sucks in a breath. Wait a minute. Creepy judgmental ghost that glares with his equally creepy inkblob eyes? That sounds super familiar. "That's the guy I'm here for!"

He sounds way too excited about it. What could a werewolf want with an angry dead werewolf hunter? The world may never know.

So Mr. Motherfucker is real important somehow. Great.

That doesn't stop Ghoul from rolling his eyes and sighing. "I toldyou, I'm here to see somebody. One'a your biologically disadvantaged members, or whatever your fancyass important name for 'em is." One of the ghosts. He's here for one of the ghosts, which means he can see them. "Don't I got a right to customer confidentiality?"

Well, no. One, this isn't his house and these aren't his rules, and two, he's not a customer.

At least you can out-run yappy dogs.

He scowls. "Called him a lot of things."

"If you know the kind of business we do here, you know no one has a right to anything in that line of work," he replies, putting his hands on his hips and tilting his head.

Daryl's new duties as Deputy Leader of the Clan (for beating up on Daybreak, apparently, wtf?) threw him for a loop. They meant he had to be back at the House a lot more often to talk with people about coordinating patrols and also dealing with bounty problems and things he hadn't realized where stuff that actually had to be dealt with by anyone. Or maybe they were just looking to him now for leadership and decided he was the one to go to for it.

A lot more eyes were on him than he liked is what was going on.

It did mean he knew pretty much everyone in the House by scent, though. And when he picked up the smell of a canine that was very much not part of the house he had to seek it out and make sure it wasn't getting into trouble. It wasn't one he recognized at first because of all the overlaying smells, but once he got close... well, shit.

"The fuck you doin' here?" he asked, coming up behind the kid and shoulder checking him in what was almost a playful manner. He certainly didn't sound upset, despite the words used.

Mako moves easily, quietly, a touch of engine grease smeared across her cheek from Gipsy's engine as she tunes her up with careful fingers. There are a few cars she's been working on, too, but Gipsy gets the work first. She could spend all day in an engine, taking it apart, putting it together better than before. It soothes her soul like nothing else.

She catches sight of Ghoul and watches him for awhile before setting her tools aside and wiping her hands on an already stained cloth.

"The door doesn't bite," she says once she's close enough for her quiet voice to reach out. "The bell's a little loud, though."

Unless it's a yappy ghost dog, which is an idea that ties in nicely with Ghoul's next round of teasing. "You gonna do that shit to me when I'm a ghost? 'Cause I'm gonna warn you, it'll just make me haunt your ass more."

...Okay, fine. Arthur's got him there, and he doesn't like it. He makes a sour face. "God. No wonder Rorschach doesn't talk to anybody." Ghoul pronounces the name correctly, so perhaps that lends a little credibility to his story. "'Specially if everybody around here is as sweet as you."

It's just a smartassed remark- he already knows there are some agreeable people around here. Roddy and Daryl are pretty decent, anyway.

The thing about being unfortunately small is that it is generally much easier to bowl him over, especially when he's slouching lazily with both hands in his pockets. He is, however, accustomed to this disadvantage and easily catches himself after a slight stumble.

The voice and scent are easy for Ghoul to identify by now, so instead of a fight, Daryl gets a grin. And maybe a stray elbow in the name of fairness. "Heard you all were lookin' for a new mascot. Where do I audition?"

Bless heightened werewolf senses. He can tell she's nearby despite how quiet she is about it, although he doesn't turn to look at her until she speaks. He arches a brow once he finally does glance over. "You sure about that?"

Then faces forward again, staring at the building and casually commenting, "I bite the fuck outta anybody that walks up to me and starts hittin'." Enchanted doors that don't agree with being knocked on might be a valid concern for someone somewhere in the world, but his smirk gives him away. He's just giving her grief because he can.

"I have not been bitten nor have I seen anyone get bitten by a door," Mako says very seriously. She laughs softly, though, and squints a little at him. "I do not think you look very door like, either."

There was a joke in there, wasn't there? And she definitely missed it.

"Who says yer gonna be a ghost?" It's a fair enough question. "Might just get someone to send you on yer way." He's grinning enough to show that he's just teasing.

And Roddy looks...confused. That was certainly not the reaction he was expecting.

"Wait...really? The former werewolf hunter? Why would you want to talk to him? I don't even like talking to him."

And unlike Ghoul, Rorschach didn't especially seem to want Roddy dead.

"I mean, we can check for him, not sure whether or not he'll appear but...why?"

Cooper's sitting in his office, the chair he has pointedly positioned a little higher than the one on the other side of the desk. He can't say he wasn't surprised to hear a werewolf wanted to meet with him and discuss something. When he figured out just which werewolf it was, he made sure to take the necessary precautions.

That meant there was a very large box of tissues currently sitting on the desk. He wasn't looking to get sneezed on again, thank you very much. He sits back in his chair, hands behind his head. Though he of course looks no older than seventeen, this is one of those moments where the teenage persona is cast aside, revealing the old vampire inside. Well, this was going to be an interesting day and no mistake.

Cooper's been looking to find a way to throw his weight around politically, and depending on what this little wolf wanted, this might be the perfect opportunity. "Oh? 'N what kind of law were you thinkin' of changing?"

Rorschach is quick to notice whenever there's anyone new inside the House. After all, someone has to make sure the place is protected against miscreants. When he notices Ghoul wandering around inside, his interest is peaked.

He appears silently behind the werewolf, following him around for a few minutes to make sure that he's not about to get involved in any sort of mischief. When it appears he possibly has no idea what he's doing, Rorschach decides to make his presence known. "What are you doing here?" He questions, voice that usual deep and raspy growl.

Ghoul all but flings himself down in to the chair, and of course, he makes no attempt to sit like the adult he's supposed to be. What he does is more like sprawling- leaning heavily to one side, resting most of his weight against the arm of the chair while his legs just stretch wherever the hell they want. It doesn't even look comfortable, but it doesn't seem to bother Ghoul in the least.

"Killing a witch, no matter the provocation, is punishable by death." Number seven, motherfucker. He's got the thing memorized. "I wanna know what it's gonna take to delete it." That's not the technical term for it, but that's the gist of what he wants. It probably sounds like a joke, but he is in fact very serious. He even pins Cooper with a steely stare to show just how Very Serious he is about this.

The effect is ruined by a few rapid blinks and some slight eye-squinting, though. He's been trying to breathe as little as possible while inside the office, which is kind of distressing since breathing is pretty important for werewolves. The smell is overpowering in an enclosed space like this, and it seems for a moment that he's about to lose it- there's some sniffling and his nose wrinkles up, but he rubs a hand over it and all is well again.

See, it's fine. Total control.

Ghoul is very well behaved at the moment, thank you. He's only knocked over one thing so far, and it didn't even break. And he put it back where it came from. Or close to it. He doesn't have a photographic memory, fuck, what does the world want from him?

Aside from that, he hasn't touched anything else.

Except for a door. A door that he has carefully cracked open, sticking his head inside. It's almost certainly a room that he has no business being in, but it's okay. Rorschach's voice has him yanking his head back out and pulling the door shut, like he hadn't just been caught red-handed.

But he plays it off with a cheeky smile. "Playin' hide and seek with your dead ass. Ain't really fuckin' fair when you're invisible, though."

Now it's Ghoul's turn to look confused. He figured the guy was a hunter, sure, but a werewolf hunter? Like, specifically?

...Nah. Ghoul had run in to him as a wolf once. From what he can remember, Rorschach hadn't acted particularly hateful. Hadn't even done anything to harm him, aside from running him in to a tree. But that could have just as easily been something like running him in front of a train or in to a group of vampires.

"He ain't bad." He shrugs. Rorschach is kind of an asshole, but so is Ghoul. It works. "We kinda got a project goin'. I gotta make sure he did his homework."

That's okay, she still manages to get a little laugh out of him. "Well, thanks. Guess that explains why nobody hits on me, though." And then he cackles.

Shut the fuck up, Ghoul.

He (maybe) makes up for his hideous sense of humor by reaching up and tapping a finger against one of his cheeks. "Y'got somethin' there."

"I say!" That's not how it works, but there's no telling him that. There's no reason for him to even want to be a ghost in the first place, ghosts don't exactly have it made. There's no telling him that, either.

Ghoul stands and stretches first, then he leans over and takes a swipe at the hat on Dodger's head. It's a very poor attempt to knock it off of there, because he's not actually upset, but it's still the principle of the thing that matters. "Can't believe you'd get me exorcised. Asshole. I thought we were friends."
