Doubling down on his giant fuck you to the witches and the vampires and anyone else who pisses him off, Party's done sitting on his tail with the politics around here. There's only one logical person he wants to see in charge right now and that's Yasmine Merad.

Party might be sloppy, but he's not stupid, and leading up to the election, he's keeping his bright hair and tattered clothes clean. He might even smell kind of nice as he makes the rounds handing out posters he's made up and making sure everyone knows that Yasmine has the best interests of the community at heart. He's focusing his activities around his pack and areas where he knows he'll find sympathetic voters, avoiding vampire- and witch-dense areas in favor of hitting up everyone else who can vote.

His flyers have a cleaned up version of his signature bright art style with sayings like "A vote for Yasmine Merad is a vote for us" and "Community first".

[ OOC: Even if someone's not in a group Party would target doesn't mean he wouldn't cram a poster in their face. Come at me! ]

Katherine is fed up of the mumbles and grumbling within the pack. She feels like she's losing control, which may be why Party finds her aiming darts at a dartboard. They did have a picture of Raymond up there at one point, then Jean-Claude more recently but today she can't even be bothered with that. She's sharpening her aim, but she hasn't got a real target.

Party interrupts her before she throws the dart and Katherine turns around, raising her eyebrows.

"Who for? You?" She takes a critical look at him. Nervous. Hmm. "What?"

"I have some concerns." He pauses, worrying his lip in his teeth. Dancing around topics isn't really an art he's perfected. This is already 110% of his tact. "About the witches. 'Bout the way they've been actin'"

Before he elaborates any more, he watches her for a response. The last thing he wants is to fight her, but he's pretty sure they'll all wind up in cages if something doesn't change.

She folds her arms. Witches, again. They wouldn't have such a problem with Party or Ghoul if they'd just fucking do as they were told. She's already lost all the good will she had with Samantha thanks to their antics, and for what?

"Spit it out then, Party. I hope for your sake it's serious."

"I think they're gonna try to cage us next. They don't see us as equals and they ain't helpin' us with anything they promised." He shifts around awkwardly on his feet. "I hope you would consider allyin' with someone who'll treat us like people b'fore they get bored and turn on us."

He clenches his fist. "Would be an awful nice prize if they could get an alpha under their power. I don't think you're safe."

"What?"

She's gotta admit, that's a new one. Katherine doesn't try to hide the incredulity in her tone. She considers herself to have a healthy sense of suspicion, but that is downright paranoid. The reason they haven't had any help from the witches has more to do with internal problems with the pack than anything else. She hasn't been able to focus on fighting the vampires like she wants because her own werewolves won't behave and Samantha isn't willing to commit until they do.

She shakes her head, exasperated. "That is the most moronic thing I've heard all week and I watch fucking TOWIE. You got any proof for that crap coming out of your mouth or is this all hot air?"

The witches have zero reason to try and cage their own allies. What would be the benefit? She already pitched in her lot with Circle Daybreak. Trying to force their support would be utterly counterproductive.

Party shifts, stance defensive. "They treat fae like pets. You really think they see us as bein' in a station above the Fae? 'Cause they don't. Soon as we ain't useful to them, they're gonna turn on us. They don't see us as equals and they wanna be in charge of everything. What kinda ally is that?"

Maybe he is paranoid, but he's not the only one thinking it. He may play fast and loose, but he's a survivor and he didn't escape SCARECROW hunters just to get crammed in a kennel by Sabrina the Teenaged Witch.

"We don't at least consider the idea they might turn on us, we're gonna be fucked if they do."

"I'm still not hearing proof." She stares him down. None of it is proof. All he has is wild speculation. "Do you really think I don't consider shit like that? If they turn on us, we turn on them. Maybe, and I'm going to say this slowly to make sure you get it, maybe if we're useful to them, they'll be useful to us. You've been fucking that up from day one. You don't have to like your allies. All you need is a mutual interest and we have one. That's it. I need you to quit fucking around and fall into line. You don't have to like them. You don't have to trust them. But we are one more mistake away from losing this alliance with fuck all to show for it, and I'd rather we salvage something from this mess, you get that?"

Her temper is starting to fray at the edges as she speaks, though she keeps her tone fairly controlled. If it's not obvious by now, she's not too happy with what she's heard about Party's behaviour among the witches.

Party looks away. He hates this whole power struggle because he knows he can't win it and apparently logic isn't on his side here, either.

"Been fightin' plenty, but I ain't gonna put innocent people in cages. I don't care what they are. It ain't humane and it makes us look like fuckin' assholes. That ain't what I'm about and I'd like to think it ain't what you're 'bout, either. You're ignorin' your gut by trustin' the witches, aren't you?"

"You're confusing your gut with mine," she tells him flatly. "Don't tell me you're getting all touchy-feely about a bunch of pixies. We put pack first, always, and if that means catching a couple of faeries, that's what we do. We help them, they help us. Now sit down."

Katherine doesn't give a shit about some fae in cages. She's putting the pack first and the rest of the wolves need to do that too.

With a deflated look, Party sits uneasily and his voice starts to take on qualities of a sullen child. "'M not tryin' to undermine anythin'. I wanna look out for you. For all of us."

He's acting like he's been scolded, which is fair enough because he has. Katherine shakes her head, sighing.

"I get that." Her voice has softened slightly. Not much. Just a fraction. "So am I. Don't forget that."

She turns around, taking aim at the dartboard. It seems that Party has given up on arguing with her – or so she hopes.
