Fae-napped! (May 7th-10th)
Cooper had spent the day in his office, mostly lost inside his own head. The upheaval of the Night Council was weighing heavily upon his mind. First Samantha had been made Mother of Witches. That in itself wouldn't have been cause for alarm, but now reading about the scandal that Sylvia Redbright was involved, he had to wonder. He could smell a power play from a mile off. After all, he'd been involved in more than one himself, both in his time running the Nest in Pemkowet with his mentor Stefan and the Nest here in London. The real question here is who was this going to benefit? Cooper could see part of the picture, but not the whole thing. He cursed himself for a fool, too stupid to put all the pieces together.
Ah well. Maybe it would come to him if he discussed with other members of the Nest. He turned out the light in his office and picked up his keys. A good ride back to his and Nancy's apartment would clear his head. He called home to let Nancy know that he was on his way. Just as he was about to hop onto his motorcycle, a woman with beautiful golden eyes came up to him. "Mr. Cooper? Might we have a word?" As he turned to answer her, the glamour melted away, revealing a fae with the ears and eyes of a doe, a pattern of dark dots surrounding her eyes and nose. Cooper felt a pair of strong hands grab him from behind, but before he could even begin to struggle, the doe blew powder towards him, and he slumped into unconsciousness.
Within minutes, there was no sign of what had happened to the vampire, save for a shattered cell phone and the keys still left in the ignition of his motorcycle.

This was the sort of thing she had expected with Bill. Him to just disappear sometimes, he'd come home, he always did. But this was Cooper, he was always in contact with her. Taking matters into her own hands, around midnight, Nancy found herself outside of the Night Council, trying to search. for any sort of lead. She managed to find his bike, the keys still in the ignition. He'd never left.
And near by... His phone. Some sort of magic still lingered in the air, but it could easly be written off as Nancy's own. But there was something more wild about it.
Staying next to his bike, Nancy grabbed her own phone. There was only one person to call.
"Eames? Eames, I need your help. It's Cooper- I think- I think he's in trouble," she manages to get out before bursting into tears. "I'm outside the Night Council headquarters. Please, please hurry!"

In contrast to Nancy's panic, he's perfectly calm as he comes to find her, even offers the kindness of reaching out an arm to pull her to him in the hopes that a little comfort will calm her enough to talk this all through. Much as part of him hopes the little shit's been vanished off a cliff in Greenland, Nancy's not gonna leave this kind of thing be, so really he's just going to have to get to work.

She takes a deep, shuddering breath.
"He's gone- he said- around six, he'd be home in fifteen minutes. I came back to see if maybe- maybe he was still here- no one knows, I tried everyone and- and his bike is still here! He loves his bike!" Seriously, Cooper would probably choose the bike over Nancy in a heartbeat. It was something she accepted. Bill had loved his dog over here, after all. Everyone loved something more than her. Just how it went.
The wind is picking up, blowing her hair about. "I found his phone on the ground." She shows him the broken remains.

He kinda hopes it's a pissy werewolf or something to blame, but he can't spot anything that'd point in that direction, and he curses under his breath when he comes back to Nancy to take the phone.
It's not even like he can really blame them.
"He was taken by fae," there's a deep frown on his face, and Eames sighs, "likely back to Faery."

"We've got to get him back." If they're in the other realm, that will be tricky. "he could be hurt- dying! Please, Eames- without him I've got nothing. We have to find him." We. because damn straight was she going with him. Cooper was her boyfriend, damn it.

He sighs, folding his arms over his chest. Like hell he's bringing Nancy to the other realm with him, "I'll get him back."
no subject
"I can come with you. What if he's hurt?" she could heal him. Maybe. let him drink from her, at least.

"When was the last time you practised your magic? Pushed yourself to see what you can do?" He raises his eyebrows at her, suspecting the answer is that it's been quite some time, "they'd tear you apart."

"During the election..." Norrell's, and how exhausted she's been after rigging all the polling places. "And at the museum last month..." That had been exiting. So many wax figures to destroy.
"But I'm going with you." there's a fire in her eyes as she looks up at Eames. "He's my boyfriend. I want to be there."
no subject
"I can't look for your errant boyfriend and watch your back."

She'd find her own way anyway, he knows it, and he shakes his head before setting off in the direction of the nearest door, "stay close to me, and stay quiet. Witches are even less welcome than they used to be."
no subject
Hah- there's some magic for you, Eames.
"Of course. I've been there before, you know. Besides, it's not as if I'm aligned with that bitch of a woman." She wants to sound tough, and it's something to keep her mind off of the dark feeling growing in her chest. Keeping her away from the fact that Cooper is gone has been taken. She's used to her boyfriend being the one doing the kidnapping.
Idly, she realizes this is the first rescue mission she's ever been on.
"I'll follow your ever word. Promise." What was the point of rescuing Cooper if she couldn't live long enough to see him again?

"Should take us to Unseelie territory," Eames glances back at her; the fae might be acting as one on the mortal side but that's less true in the other realm, "nobody's going to bother you there, but I can't say the same if we have to venture into Seelie lands."
no subject
"Alright. Let's do this." With a determined look, she starts to stride toward the door.
