Well, there went the rosy afterglow. He was the one who had brought the subject up, so he had no one to blame for where the conversation had gone but himself. He plucks the cigarette from her slim hand, taking a drag on it before he answers her.

"I had t'vote with what I thought was best. The fae are a problem that's unpredictable. It's something that needed t'be dealt with." This is something he's let no one see before. During the campaign, part of his strategy had been to be seen as being open to all supernatural types. But, in truth, Cooper had a long-seated prejudice against the fae. Besides his personal history, including his addiction, he saw the way they put themselves above all other races. They were not to be trusted.
