The Artful Dodger always noticed dogs. Mainly because he liked dogs, and thought he might get one of his own when he old enough to be out on his own and not need the 'protection' of Fagin anymore. This one was a great big one, though, more like a small bear than a dog. Didn't stop him doing over to it.
