Litha Feast (Open to all court members and human guests, dated for the 21st)

The grounds were brightly lit and festooned with decoration: trees covered in sweet-smelling dew, leaves of gold and red, vividly-colored streamers woven with thread finer than spider's silk. All around, the tables were piled high with all the food and wine one might expect of a grand feast. (Apparently, the fae had spared no expense.)

The Seelie King and Queen were present, though distanced from the rest of the revellers -- and quite a few revellers there were. Men and women with petals in their hair, clothes of vibrant silk and satin, and a rainbow of rare feathers and gems. Some looked human, some looked animal. Some, such as in the case of a well-dressed gentleman with skin like birch bark, looked like none of the above.

"He's got some," she said, a surge of protectiveness welling up in her chest. "And it's not expensive. I could invite the boys, though, easy. They'd love to come. Mind you, they're a handful." But it'd be good for them to get out, meet some other people. Good people.

Not like her and Fagin.

Nancy grins as wide as she can. "Well! Good thing you're talking to a former little girl. I'm something of an expert." She tosses her hair back behind her shoulders, the flower crown woven in to her hair remained unmoved.

"They're visiting you in London; they're going to want to see all of the usual hot-spots. Tower of London, the Tate, the Globe, Big Ben and Parliment. Oh! At King's Cross, platform 6 4/3 if they've read those Barry Totter novels. Of course, Harrods, if they're the shopping sort. I would say get a good afternoon tea in, too."

"That's the point- it's supposed to be the barrier between platforms 6 and 7 on the 7 side. It's how you get to the train to take you to Pigfarts in the books. It's like Redbright." Only not run by idiots.

"They're not bad books." The boys had gotten into them, and she'd followed suit. Escapism was something she'd always been a fan of. For understandable reasons.

"Yeah. Kinda like that- they did a few years ago. They got tired of tourists trying to run into the barrier. It's like if you go down to Tintagel and they've got tons of Arthurian places set up, I've heard." Tintagel was the seaside town in Cornwall that was supposed to be where the original Camelot was.

She nods. "Yeah. That's the-" oh wow. That hit a little close to home. Except Fagin wasn't an evil wizard who'd killed her parents. He was just an old fae who got his kicks from little children. Which was kind of the same thing.

"That's the one."

"With any luck," Nancy takes another sip from her flask.
