The squirrel in question seemed interested, but if it comprehended what Roddy was saying or trying to get across, it sure wasn't obvious. In fact, it seemed the squirrel was far more interested in waiting to see if the big, strange, human-rat man-thing was going to go after the food that it had been sniffing out. Or if it was safe for it to do so.
