Thomas generally went to all the official vampire parties anyway, both because he enjoyed parties, and because he didn't want to seem like he wasn't supporting whatever vampire official was throwing it. For Cooper, he was glad to show his support.

And so he was at the party, generally drinking and enjoying himself when he spotted Cooper.

"Hey!" he said, making his way over to Cooper. "Congratulations on the election."
