Faolan blinked at their surroundings. Whatever he had expected, it hadn't been this. Something was off, the view out the was is all wrong, and where did the noise from the people beyond go? The sounds of the city? He suddenly wished that he had his gun back with him. Maybe it wouldn't have helped but it certainly would have made him feel safer.
