"A little," he agrees with a teasing grin. He goes to toss another into his mouth and accidentally hits his nose, which reminds him how much the thing hurts. Kyle drops his head back onto the body of the couch, resting it there with a casual smile to show it's not some dramatic motion. But it does bring him down a little from his oblivious bliss and forces his tone to something less humorous.

"Catch me up, what'd I miss?" He means to leave it there, but Kyle can't help but add, "You still with that boyfriend of yours?"
