Caroline sighs too. "I never thought that life in Mystic Falls would seem simple, small town or not. But I guess that's just the way it is here. Also, from what I've heard, New Orleans is pretty complicated too. It's one of the reasons I didn't consider just moving there."

The other reason was, of course, Klaus.

Nancy nods. "I don't know what the supernatural population of Mystic Falls is- but I imagine it's a whole lot larger in London. So skirmishes become wars. We live longer, so grudges get held for centuries. It's... a mess, I guess." But when she looked at it that way, it made sense.

"Really? I've never thought I'd live anywhere but London." Travel, maybe. But this city was her home.

"It's definitely much smaller. Plus, it's most vampires in the area, with a few werewolves and witches. No other groups, at least not that I know of. And no real organized factions either. As I sort of mentioned before, I used to date the werewolf."

She pauses for a moment, thinking. "I guess I always planned to leave Mystic Falls eventually. Go out and see the world. But home is always going to be home."

Nancy nods. "Yeah- I did, too." So she totally gets the werewolf thing. "D'you know if there's any structured anything in the US?" Now she's super curious.

"Well, I'm glad you came to stay with us, and hope in time you consider it just as much a home."

Caroline shrugs. "The only place I really know much about is New Orleans, which from what I've heard is pretty structured. But I haven't actually been, so I don't know for sure. But London can't be the only place, I'm sure."

She smiles. "I'm glad too." And she is, at least most of the time.

Nancy shakes her head. "No, definitely not. I'm sure most big cities have one. And, apparently, Mystic Falls as well."

Caroline nods. "Well, maybe I'll find out one day. Though not anytime soon, since I'm finally feeling pretty settled here."

"Good. I'd hate to think of you leaving too soon."

"Definitely not too soon," she replied with a grin. "Side effect of making friends."

Nancy laughs at that. "Tell me about it." Friends brought about a certain loyalty. No matter how bad it may wind up. Still, they were good to have.

"We're glad to have you in London, Caroline."
