"So a meal isn't romantic but a vacation is? I had no idea. I've been leading my friends along all this time."

He thinks this is complete nonsense and he would like to make that particularly clear. Her theory doesn't even vaguely hold water.

She nods. "yeah, it's lunch. So it's not romantic." She couldn't explain it better than that. She never had really great experiences with friendships or romances.

Cesare's fairly certain that there's no way he can convince her out of her foolishness at this point, so he just rolls his eyes and decides to move on.

"Where are you working now?" He asks it outright, totally ok with doing so. She had said she had found another place to work from. He'd like to find out where that is.

Nancy pauses for a moment. Tell him, and he can find her. But at the same time, she doesn't want him to find her anymore. She didn't tell him in the first place for the security but that was after he tried to hire her for his friends.

This was different.

in a show of friendship, she speaks. "Canary Warf."

That amuses Cesare a lot. Canary Wharf has a reputation for very business driven. It's the financial district, after all. To be honest, he's surprised Nancy managed to find a place to work that wasn't an office block in a skyscraper.

"Trying to catch the stockbrokers on their lunch break?"

She crosses her arms.

"An opportunity arose and I took it. I have a lot of clients in that area." Or clients that were willing to travel. It meant less street work, which she couldn't be more happy about.
