She’s certain his comment wasn’t serious, but her answer is (though not her tone).
“I honestly don’t think that would help.”
She gives him a brief once over.
“Your physique is fine.”
It’s actually a hell of a lot better than fine, but this is a polite conversation they’re having, and she’s too off balance to pay him that kind of attention.
“The problem is your face.” She quickly clarifies. “Don’t get me wrong: That wasn’t at all an insult. You simply have a pleasant look to you. I’ll bet most people find you easy to trust and open up to. But I can’t imagine you intimidate anyone unless you’re acting in an official capacity.”
