Thomas smiled. "Of course, you're right. I suppose it's really more for my own benefit, so I look how I'm used to looking when I admire myself in reflective surfaces."

Because Thomas, of course, knew he was attractive, and there was no doubt in his mind of that. And really, many men pulled off short hair styles, and Thomas could pull off anything. Maybe he'd give going without a wig a go, now that his hair had a decent start to growing back.

"Marquess of Hackney?" A title that would mean more if the nest, and therefore the ranks and titles, weren't being run by a madman. Not that Thomas was about to point that out, instead answering cheerfully, "Congratulations."

He'd prefer Cooper over many vampires in the nest, anyway. At least Cooper was opposed to vampires losing control, and was willing to keep an eye on the younger vampires to make sure they didn't go around killing all willy nilly. Certainly a more sane and reasonable way to operate than what Raymond Harris seemed to promote.
