Cooper sighs and runs his fingers through her red hair. He's had his share of close calls tonight, but he's not going to let Nancy know about that. The worst had been the fight with the young werewolf, the one he'd been forced to kill. All he wants right now is to lie with his girlfriend in his arms and be thankful that it had all turned out all right.

He grins back at her, still hopped up on adrenaline and with thoughts buzzing around in his head like a hive of bees. "Things are gonna change in the nest soon. They've got to or Harris is gonna run us straight into the ground. I want t'be right there when it happens." This was the most frank he's been with anyone about his plans.
