Even as she says it, she thinks she should stop pushing him, but something about Cesare's attitude makes it hard to hold her tongue. Instead, she says it so smoothly and in such a deadpan that it would be easy to miss that she's back sassing him.

She's much, much younger than he is, and she knows their relative power and ranks. Even if she were feeding properly, she wouldn't have any advantages on him in that respect. But she's hardly a child, especially when it comes to this.
