He probably could have just used the latter, but that would just ruin the fun of striking of the match. However, it was one of the rare times he listened to that little voice in the back of his head, and so knew the location of the nearest fire extinguisher in case of an emergency.
Not that there is any need and soon the posters are simply a pile of innocent ashes in a small pit.
