Evie is there. Her zipline can move her with a decent amount of speed, and being a vampire only helps. She'd caught the guard unaware, a hidden stake to his heart with practiced precision eliminated him in no time at all. Now was the time to wait for Alex, to keep an eye out and make sure no one was coming up from behind her.

Evie keeps to the shadows, her hood still pulled down. By the time Alex hauls herself up on to the balcony, Evie's there, waiting. At the glance, she offers her a smile that she's sure is lost in the darkness. No, she's there. She hasn't betrayed her. Yet, or ever.
