Faolan raises his eyebrows slightly, making something of a face as he raises his coffee and takes a grateful sip of it, although it's still slightly too hot to do more than that. "Someone like me," he echoes. "I don't think that anyone ever planned much of anything with someone like me in mind." He glances up at the other man, realizing that was really rather self-deprecating in truth, and glances back down at his coffee in turn.
"It would be strange," he says, after a moment's pause. "To have you guarding me. I mean, I'm Hillingdon Clan Leader, but. It's not the same. They've still always treated me like Sylvia's pet Guardian, the Hillingdon Clan Leader. It would be different, as a council member. They'd have to treat me as an equal." And he's not really sure what to think about that. "I don't really want things to change," he admits, quietly.
