There is nothing beautiful about that. One wrong move ruins the entire scene, and she knows it. Especially Odile's dance before the prince. To say that she sounds bitter is an understatement.
"I used to be perfect. Odile, Sleeping Beauty, Juliet..."
She can see herself. See the roles.. every move trained to perfection. Her feet bleeding, her muscles quivering. But it all disappeared on the stage, and she was perfect.
But if she keeps thinking about it, she'll cry. So, she forces herself to her feet and throws her head back with what's supposed to be an easy laugh. It's cold, though, and harsh.
