Jean-Claude raises his eyebrows at her from his position standing at her bedside. "You did not plan on winding up in the hospital in the first place," he points out. "Unless you are less thoughtful than I have given you credit. No one in their right frame of mind plans on winding up in hospital." He tilts his head at her. "But that does not mean that it does not happen. Especially when one finds oneself..."

He trails off, searching for the right word as though he has forgotten it. Perhaps it is true -- although he is very good at English, it is certainly not his first language. Finally he settles on the choice of words, "When one finds oneself confronted with the same flight of stairs. Perhaps it is time for a change of scenery." He inclines his head. "That is all."
