He lets out a light chuckle at that, sincere in spite of his mood, and shakes his head. "I think I'm good."

Kyle stuffs his hands into his pockets again and turns to leave, waiting until she's with him to walk out of the enclosure and then make their way out of the zoo. It isn't until they're back in the park, heading casually for the Underground, that he finally speaks up again.

"Thanks for hanging out, Alex," he says casually, staring off along their path before glancing at her with a soft smile. "And happy Valentine's day."
