It is misjudged. Even though, as she looks back at him over her shoulder, he looks perfectly earnest and almost kind. But she knows better than that. She's been fooled by more than one old man, she won't be fooled by another.

At least he knew that she didn't agree with what Redbright was saying. But...

It'd be nice to know the rules, so that she could better break them.
