Honesty. He lets out a little snort at that. He can't help it -- she has to know that his motivations for joining himself are less than admirable. Certainly not the same motivations as others who have joined with him. Then again, they are not the motivations of those who would have joined in his stead. And that, in the end, is why he had volunteered himself forth.
