There was a long silence. Faust's eyes narrowed slightly as he considered his options. Likely someone like Fagin would kill her for betraying him. Not that that was really much of a deterrent for Faust.

Still, getting some girl killed who probably (prooobably) didn't have much to do with the handling of the shipment seemed like a bit of a hollow victory. Better to wait, perhaps, for a sweeter, colder sort of revenge.

"Very well," he said finally. "But don't cross my path again, young lady -- you also carry a share of the blame."
