Faolan tries not to jump too much at suddenly being approached by the other man, but he is forced to admit that his attention was elsewhere, and he had not noticed the man nor the dog approaching him until they were right there. Ah well, at least he knows the pair of them. Sort of. If by knowing he can say that he's met them once before, which is more than he can say for a lot of other people.

"I'm fairly certain that that sort of thing is frowned upon at this hour of the day though, so." He motions to the shop around them, as if to say, 'So here I am instead.'
