Snake sat up a little straighter on hearing the glass. He hadn't even had to ask to place it where he could find it; Heiji had courteously done so. It was a skill that Snake had had to teach people more often than not to help him maneouver through the world a little easier.

He took a quick sip of water to cover up his surprise. He wasn't the type of man to apologize for past actions but it was clear that he'd had a certain impression of Heiji that hadn't been very correct. No time like the present to fix that.

"It does sound quite labor intensive, whatever you're doing," he said, waiting for Heiji to complete the process.

The aroma of the cup made him smile a little bit, once it was completed. "If it's a strong brew, cream and sugar, please. I can't wait to try it if it's as good as it smells."
