There is not even a second guess at the reflex, one arm shooting out and immediately socks Ghost Girl right in the arm. Aradia herself can have a moment to be silently confused over how she felt that, but he's already moving on. "We're acquaintances."

Anyone with two eyes could decipher it as either 'friends' or 'mutual hissy co-agitators', so in either case the term acquaintances just doesn't work. Yet, it's just delivered with such a wave of certainty there's no room to question it. Or time, since he steamrolls right along into the next topic. There's no problems here. No problems at all.

"If your unwanted visitors get more frequent, let me know. Didn't mean for this, so I'll take care of it." There is some kind of edge to the tone that adds on the instinctive reaction of don't let him take care of it. But this is all in your head, obviously. No problems at all.
