Slowly, gently, Cole reaches his empathy out. Because he can't believe this. He can't believe that Joscelin actually believes killing's fun, that he actually wants to hurt people. But as he touches the vampire's feelings, it becomes obvious to Cole that Joscelin isn't doing this solely to test him, solely to see how Cole reacts.
