[Open] June Catch-All for Shea's Characters!
[Here we go again, new month, same ladies. A few starters in the comments, hmu for something specific. I just want a place to put stuff. Carry on!]
For Allison
The one where Allison explains the knives. And where Nancy explains that oh, hey, she's a witch.
So that's what brought them here, Nancy having invited Allison over to Cooper's place so they could be away from prying ears. When Allison arrives, she invites her in. "Can I get you something to drink?" Nancy of course is thinking about her fresh bottle of gin in the cupboard.

When she's invited to Nancy's ( boyfriend's? ) place, she doesn't hesitate this time. When someone has extended friendship, Allison knows better than to reject it.
She takes a seat in the sitting room, lips pursed to the side. "Ah – water's good. Please."

"I thought I should break the ice, so to speak." Bad pun. Please forgive her. "But I'm a witch...?" Somehow it was a question on her lips. "I can do magic, and I'd really appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone." Please? She looks up at her hopefully.
"I'll answer any questions you have, too. Gods knows I've got my own."

Questions first, then her own confession later.
"Were you born a witch?"
no subject
"No; I was bitten by a radioactive witch when I was seven," she tells Allison as if it's the simplest thing in the world. "'Course I was."

She reaches for her glass to take a sip, needing to cool down from the summer heat outside; her hair, normally down, is pulled into a messy bun atop her head. "Are you part of a coven of sorts? A witch organization?"
no subject
Nancy was the sort of girl who thrived on mediocrity, as it was.
Nancy tucks a string of her ginger hair behind her ear. "No. I could be, if I wanted, and I used to be, but I don't really get along with the witches in charge of... well, witches." She shrugs a bit. "It's really really complicated. We've got our own form of government, all the supernatural people. My boyfriend's actually on the Night Council." She pauses. "As the representative for vampires."
Sure you don't want anything to drink, Ally?

"So there's administration issues all across the board," Allison jokes weakly, holding her glass awkwardly in both hands, elbows tentatively settling on the table before her. "I know about them." She tries to smile and it looks more like an exaggerated grimace which isn't all that becoming.
But Allison has never backed out of anything because it made her uncomfortable.
"I'm a Hunter."
no subject
Instead, she just shrugs it off.
"Yeah? With Hillingdon? How's Arthur doing? I haven't spoken t'him in a while." She smiles kindly. "I should probably get on that." Maybe a bit overexaggerated, but she wanted Allison to know that hey, it's no problem, so long as she wasn't about to try to kill her.
no subject
"I'm not very involved, to be honest," she admits out loud. "I help out sometimes - Arthur is gppd, by the way." She chuckles. "But I mostly go by my family's code. My family's from a long line of hunters."
no subject
"I can understand that- I actually know a few people over there. All really nice, actually." And most seemed not to want to kill her friends for the fun of it. Which is more than she can say for a lot of other creatures.
"Really? Ah, can I ask what code that is?"
