Jean-Claude's eyesight is good in the dark, but it is pitch black and there are many obstacles, including people and furniture. It takes him a few moments to accustom himself to the darkness as he tries to make his way across to where he remembers the closest bouncer to be stationed. Just in time for a bright light to flare in the middle of the room. A lantern, he realizes with some surprise.
"Oui, mes amis," calls a voice behind the lantern, as the figure of a man holding it comes clear, mocking Jean-Claude's choice of phrasing. The features of the man are as of yet unclear, though perhaps that is because of the mask he wears over his face. When he continues next, his English is thickly-accented by his French, as though he is out of practice, though Jean-Claude would recognize that voice anywhere. "Do not worry. Jean-Claude will protect you. He has always done such an excellent job of protecting his friends from harm, our Jean-Claude."
