newham territory claim (25th - 27th ~and beyond~)
As with most things involving werewolves (or just Ghoul in general), it happens fast and without much warning. Tensions between wolves and vampires have been high lately- there have been a number of small spats throughout the month, but nothing particularly noteworthy or lasting happens.
The 25th seems to be a day like any other, until night falls. It starts small, with a handful of wolves deciding to strut their way around Newham like they own the place. The pack has been feeling stable and stronger lately, and the wolves themselves are ornery. Why not take back what's theirs?
Word spreads quickly, and by the 26th, the wolves have committed to a full-blown invasion. It's when the fighting begins in earnest, and each side takes turns rapidly gaining and losing ground. The standoff continues in to the 27th, with neither group able to make their claim stick. Newham is a lawless mess, unsafe for either faction as violence continues to escalate. No one seems to find surrendering an option. There's no telling how long this will last, or how much damage Newham will suffer for it.

Laura sighs, glancing outside the shop. "We can hold out till then. If we're lucky, it'll be a draw. I don't know how we'll come out of this victorious."

What's not fine is their stalemate with the vampires, and Ghoul hates to admit it, but he has no idea how they're going to pull this off either. "Man, I thought we had it." He huffs, annoyed at the situation, and pulls the compress away from his face before beginning to squish it in his hands. It'll be nothing but useless slush if he keeps playing with it.

"We'll have to push forward again. Give it a month or two, regroup- maybe consider a different plan of attack." Already an idea was forming in her mind.

She even seems to be on to something for their next push. Maybe one day Ghoul will get his shit together on a Laura-level. "You got somethin' in mind?"

"M'gonna go break more of my face for the cause, then." Though things will be calmer in the daylight, there are still vampires out there that aren't bothered by the sun. Keeping on patrols for a while longer can't hurt.

"Stay safe- I still owe you candy and I am not bringing it to any funerals." She points her finger at him almost accusatorially.

He smirks and waves as he slinks away, and of course, he has to have the last word so a parting comment is necessary. "I'm always safe." Yeah, right.
